Meet Luciana (Lucie) , full name Luciana May Mendez, born into a pretty broken family, all her parents wanted to do was drink booze and do drugs, having a kid was a burden to them both. The little girl didn't speak a word, she was always made to fee...
"Upton, Drake, a word please" Boden calls out from his office, Lucie and Keon walk on over to his office "yes chief" Lucie says, Boden then replies "we just had a phone call of the school, they tried to phone you but no answer, Kiara has been in a fight with another kid at school and the principal wants you to go and pick her up, she's been suspended for a week". Keon then replies back "thanks chief, God I'm gonna kill her".
Lucie then replies as the two walk out the office "yea thanks chief, and no babe, we are not going to kill her, we are going to hear her side of the story, it certainly doesn't sound like her, she's a good girl", Keon then raises his eyebrow and stresses "I get that, but who's going to look after her, she can't stay here, too much is going on, and we're working". Lucie then smiles and kisses him "relax, I'll call my mom, I highly doubt she will turn down having her granddaughter".
LUCIANA - "Hey mom"
HAILEY - "Lucie, sweetheart, is everything okay?"
LUCIANA - "Yes, im fine, Keon too, it's just, Kiara has got into some trouble at school, I can go pick her up, but could you have her, just until we both finish work, we really weren't expecting this"
HAILEY - "Like I'd say no, of course I'll have her, me and your dad have missed our granddaughter"
LUCIANA - "Aww I thought you'd say that, I'll go pick her up now and drop her off at yours, sure you don't mind?"
HAILEY - "Yes I'm sure, it's not like we are working anymore"
LUCIANA - "Okay, I shall see you in a bit, love you, bye"
HAILEY - "Love you too"
Lucie doesn't waste anytime in getting into her car and driving straight to the school, when she gets there, she tells the teacher she is sorry and that it won't happen again, and then when in the car she turns to her daughter "really, fighting, Kiara I mean, you know better than that", Kiara looks back her mom and says "it's not like that mom, please just listen". Lucie smiles and replies "I'm listening".

The girl then starts explaining as Lucie starts the engine and starts to drive "it's this girl at school, or rather, girls, they just keep being spiteful, the one pushed me earlier and so I pushed her back, then she started punching and from there, it just got out of hand, I'm sorry though, I know it's wrong". Lucie smiles and replies back as she keeps eyes on the road "it's okay, I guessed that was the case, I'll speak to your dad when I get back, but for now, your staying with grandma and grandad until we are both finished".
10 minutes later
Lucie pulls up in front of her parents house, she let's Kiara out the car and then the two make there way to the door, Lucie knocks and the door is opened shortly after by Hailey, a much older Hailey than we all know, 13 years kind of does that. "Kiara my beautiful granddaughter, I missed you so much" Hailey says warmly as she notices Kiara beside Lucie, Kiara instantly runs to Hailey and the two hug.
"Go on inside, Grandads getting some pizza ordered, I'm sure if you ask him, he will add a dessert" Hailey says and Kiara runs in the house to go and find Grandad Jay. Hailey smiles as she looks at Lucie "she's got your eyes you know", Lucie smiles back at her and laughs "you tell me that, everytime I come round". Hailey smiles and kisses her daughters forehead "you have done so well for yourself Lucie, handsome fiance, beautiful baby girl, I couldn't be happier for you"
Lucie then hugs her mom and whispers "yes well about that" she does a pretend drumroll "I'm pregnant", Hailey looks at her shocked "your having another?" Lucie nods "yes, I sure am, we kinda kept it a secret as I wanted to avoid leaving work for so long, but it's getting harder to hide now and I can't risk the baby's health, I find out the sex in 2 weeks". Hailey's smile widens and she hugs her daughter one more time before she heads of back to work.
2 weeks later
Kiara is at her grandparents and Lucie and Keon are on there way over there now, they just been to the hospital had the scan and were buzzing, they just found out the sex of there second baby and were going to break the news too Hailey, Jay and Kiara. When the two adult's arrive Kiara instantly runs out an straight to her parents, she hugs her mom and then hugs her dad too which he picks her up. The three then walk into the house.
"So, what are you having?" Hailey says, Pretty much bursting with excitement, Lucie smiles, she looks at Keon, who looks at her and then the two kiss, Kiara then blurts out "I'm with grandma, am I having a brother or sister?". Lucie smiles yet again and Keon and her answer in Unison "your getting a brother, we are having a baby boy", Jay then blurts out in excitement "yess, I'm having a grandson" everyone in the room laughs.
So this is it, this is where the story ends, Luciana was no longer the scared little girl, she was no longer the silly teenager, she was a responsible adult a mother, a fiance, she was amazing, she was perfect, she was and is loved. Kiara loved her mom, and her dad and she wouldn't trade them for the world, she had a loving family around her, she knows she will never have to experience the pain Lucie and Hailey both had to suffer as kids.
One thing Kiara knew, and it was something she would believe in all the time and everyday because of those around her who made it possible for her to believe it "if you believe you can achieve"
