"Edalyn, you have to understand my concerns here." Lilith tries to plead with her younger sister as she walks through the forest, searching for a special plant.

Eda rolls her eyes "Your concerns are noted. But I'm going to have to disagree with you, Lilly."

"Shocker," Lilith mumbles under her breath while Eda continues.

"The portal hasn't even flickered once since Luz's return. Luz can go back any time she wants. Not that she is going to, but she still has the option to." Eda stops and squints seeing if she has found what she's been looking for. After a moment of analysis, she sees that the plant is not a match and she continues on her search "Besides, it's not like her mom has tried to contact her since the fight. That also reminds me, I have to return that old forbidden book! Amity is gonna turn me into an actual owl if I lose, or damage it."

Lilith ignores her sister's deflection "Luz hasn't had her human box since she got that scroll. What if Camila is trying to contact her as we speak? Doesn't that concern you one bit?"

"Nope!" Eda exclaims as she basically skips through the orange landscape of trees "Luz is happy with us, her weird sibling relationship with Hunter, and her new and improved brown-haired Blight. All is right in the world."

"But it is wrong! Deep down Luz is still hurting from her severed relationship with her mother. You should know better than anyone. You pushed your feelings down about father for most of your life. Remember how amazing you felt when you saw him again and rekindled your relationship?"

Eda sighs, knowing Lilith makes a valid point, per usual. But she doesn't want to share Luz. It's selfish, yes, but Eda is happy when Luz is here and doesn't she deserve to be happy as well? "Then what Lilly? Luz makes up with her mom then can't come back? Or is only allowed to visit on weekends? The kid is a witch at heart and doesn't belong in that realm. You know that."

"Edalyn." Lilith jogs to the front of Eda and stops them both, making sure they are sharing direct eye contact "I don't care what Luz or you say. Deep down you and I both know what a bad relationship with a parent can do to a child. Even Amity and Hunter. She needs to go back and see her. Maybe you should go too."

Edalyn pushes past her sister "Yeah then what? Hi, Luz's mom! I'm the witch that has given your daughter a home since she ran away twice to another dimension! Oh, and you also remember me as the one lying to your face, saying that Luz was going to a special school! Actually, I just kidnapped her and have kept her. Wanna grab some bitter bean blood?" Eda turns and gives her sister a dry look "That sound good to you Lil?"

"Fine, then don't go. Have Amity go. Maybe if she sees Luz is in love, then she would have second thoughts."

"Yes, her human daughter who is in love with a witch from a demon realm. What could go wrong?" Lilith stares down at her younger sister until Eda waves her hand "I'll think about it. Titan knows that kind of love is rare." Eda sighs at the memory of Raine. Her head dips and she shakes the memory "But until we have that conversation with Amity, we look for my damn plant!"

"Deal." Lilith quickly agrees, and silently celebrates her small victory. But instead of looking aimlessly for this plant, Lilith had other plans. She clapped her hands three times and called out "Hootcifer!" Eda shoots back a confused glance while Lilith looks at Eda with a smug look.

They wait about ten seconds before the owl demon pops up from the ground. "Did someone clap to summon me? LULU!!!"

"What is he doing here?" Eda groans.

Lilith chuckles and ignores Eda "My dear friend, do you happen to know where a hallucinoppy is? Eda needs one for an... experiment."

Eda cuts in "More than one! I need six for the spell. Well four, but mama wants to take a trip just like old times." A smile of reminiscing appears on the pale Clawthorne's face, playing back all the memories of her and a couple of her detention friends getting high on the grudgeby fields after nightfall.
