"okay ma i said ill be there" I sigh in annoyance as i was talking to my mother on the phone.
"dont huff and puff wit me, you like to cancel so i had to make sure" She says.
"no i dont" I know damn well i do...
"mhm. whatever. ill see you later baby love you" She makes kiss sounds in the phone.
"okay, love you more" I hang up.
She made a reservation at a dinner tonight and invited some friends and family for a get together. I really wasn't in the mood for it but my mother made sure she told me i had no choice but to go.
Anyways...I was currently at the plt store organizing my inventory, stocking, and i had to check for any complaints made by the customers. Surprisingly we had about 20 complaints a week and most of them were about the store not having something but online it says we do. Which i totally understand customers frustration, and thats why i have a meeting today with my team and im going to bring that up to them.
"hey Diamond, there's a guy in the front asking for you.." My employee Dae dae says.
I look up from my paper in confusion cause i wasn't expecting anyone. I sit the paper down on the table that was in the back of the store. I walk to the front with Dae dae and i immediately knew who he was talkin about. There standing was Darnell with a carseat in his hand.

I run up to Him and immediately peak into Ariana's carseat to see her knocked out. she looks do tuteee. i gotta take a picture.

"hello to you too.." Darnell says while standing there.
"shut up..ive seen you a thousand times in my life" I roll my eyed playfully. After i was done cooing over ariana I give him a hug.
"how you been? is the sleep deprive hitting you yet?" I chuckle.
He nudged me slightly. "shut the fuck up" He laughs.
"im just playin..how you been fa real?" I look up at him.
I shrugs. "livin you know? just tryna keep my head straight and keep money in my pockets...making sure i make it another day" He looks down.
I scrunch my eyebrows worryingly cause the way he said that didn't sound right.
"you okay Darnell?? you and malik good right?" I look him in his eyes tryna find a answer. it sucks that i always find myself worried about Malik too.
He suck his teeth. "mann we good Diamond. you know how it be tho...bein in the streets" he says and i nod. I didn't truly believe him but i wasn't going to push it. i know he not gon tell me.
