XavierThe harsh sunlight momentarily blinded my eyes as I opened the windows, letting in the sun's rays. Compared to the weather of the last few days, today was sunny with just a few clouds, making it unbearably hot.
"Xavier, close the windows, matutulog pa ako," Zero murmured as he covered his face with pillow.
"Get up, may pupuntahan tayo ngayon, nakalimutan mo ba?"
"Right, right, the orphanage.
I heard his grumblings as he stood up from his makeshift bed, his hair was sticking at all directions. His eyes was still droopy, same with his posture.
"Okay, magluluto muna ako ng almusal."
"Brush you hair while at it." I commented.
He gave me a thumbs up as he combed through his with his fingers like he usually does. Honestly, I don't think I ever saw him use a comb.
"This is unusual, you don't normally watch TV," sabi ko sa kanya.
"It's nothing," Seine said as she turned the TV off.
"This doesn't look like nothing," I commented
"Come on, I can be your sounding board," sabi ko at umupo ako sa tabi niya.
"It was just news about Tito David."
"Uhh, the one who adopted you?"
Tumango lang siya sa akin. "Bakit naman parang ang lungkot mo? Bakit nasa balita pala siya?"
"He's a cop and he managed to catch some well known bad guys."
"Ohh," I said since this was the only reaction I could think of.
"As for why I look sad, nothing, I guess.
"Like what?"
She bit her lips. "Is it really okay to find the other Senses?"
My eyebrows knotted at what she said. "What do you mean?
"I know, I know. At that time, I was so sure that was the right choice but after the recent events, I don't know what to do anymore."
Ahh, the recent events. She blames herself for my near death experience with that sadistic teacher of mine. As if I need further proof, Seine just buried her face in her hands.
"Hey, it wasn't your fault."
"Yes, it is.
"We've been through this before, even if you didn't find me, Erebos will still hunt me. I'm a Sense."
"But I practically gave your identity to them."
"Look, Miss Sanchez was in Granville way before you came here, that would suggest they already know that a Sense is here. If you didn't find me, I would probably be dead without knowing the reason why."
