Chapter 16

Serene

My heart beats fast as I entered the hospital. Who would've thought that there would come a time where we will enter an Erebos infested building willingly. I tried to act normal as we tread through the white hallways of the hospital.

"Nervous?" Marcus asked.

"Kind of."

We kept walking towards the supply room that Minerva told us beforehand. I glanced around, no one seemed to be following us.

"Don't look around like that," Zero said as he walked emotionless. "People would be more suspicious of you."

I gave him a nod and tried to emulate him. A few minutes later, we arrive at the room. We found a janitor but with a flick of Marcus' fingers, he fell asleep.

"Where na ba here ang secret passage?" tanong ko sa kanila.

"Maybe behind the closet?" Zero suggested.

We tried to pull it out but the closet wouldn't budge. It was lined up with medical supplies on the top, I gazed at the closet and wondered what could be wrong. I placed my hand on it, just out of curiosity. I noticed something weird.

"It's warm," sabi ko.

Inilagay din ni Zero ang kamay niya. "Huh? Hindi ah, malamig nga eh."

Sinubukan din ni Marcus ang closet, nabigla siya at agad na hinila ang kamay niya pabalik. "Serene's right, it's warm."

"Wait a minute, bakit sa akin ang lamig?"

"Maybe it's like a pintuan for the children of Hesperides lang, you don't have any ability kase so you don't feel it."

Marcus closed his eyes and concentrated while his hand was on the closet. A few seconds later, the closet moved sideways, revealing staircase going down.

"A secret passage that can only be found by children of Hesperides. Clever," Marcus commented.

Pumasok kami sa loob at pagkatapos ng ilang segundo ay gumalaw ang closet pabalik sa dati nitong kinalalagyan.

"Isn't it like so puti here?" I said.

"Duh, hospital kaya ito," pilosopo sa akin ni Zero.

Grrr. Why is here ba kasi? Hindi naman siya Child of Hesperides kaya wala rin naman siyang kakayahan, it's not as if may maitutulong siya dito.

We entered the end of the passage and came at a hallway... as far as the eyes can see.

"Okay, this is like so malaki, where ba natin make see si Lily?"

"Just follow me, Minerva taught me the direction to her room."

We followed the left corridor and kept on walking. My feet hurts, I should have known not to wear heels but sneakers would clash with my outfit, making me so baduy.

Huminto kami sa harap ng isang pinto. I did find it weird na bakit walang tao, isn't this supposed to be like top secret? I just thanked our lucky stars.

We went inside the whole room and my face dropped to the girl, filled with pity... her clothes was so drab. Like oh my gosh talaga, so not nice. If they imprisoned her, shouldn't they give her nice clothes at least? Perhaps a few dresses.

"Is this the right room?"

I observed the girl that was right before me. She was still young, more like the child version of sleeping beauty. Machines beeped next to her, sustaining her life.

"Siya na ba si Lily?"

Right after I said those words, my cellphone ringed and got a message from Xavier.
