Chapter XXI ~ More than Words

"Reine?" Totoo ba ito? Siya ba talaga ang gumawa ng mga ito? 

 "I. I.." She stuttered.  I noticed her body language. She breathes heavily and shuffles her feet, showing that she's nervous. Obviously, she is lying to cover up the truth. She is protecting someone. Sana mali ang kutob ko na ang taong iyon ang gumawa ng lahat ng ito.

 "Akala ko ba nagpapahinga ka na? What are you doing here?"  Tanong ko.  

 "Stop it."  Chaos said, his tone of voice filled with authority.  Yes, she needs to stop this. It's pointless.

 "You cannot conceal the truth. Enough already, Reine. Wag mo nang pahirapan pa ang sarili mo. At ikaw, lumabas ka na. Tama na ito."  Gusto ko ng magpahinga. Kasi naman alas dos na ng madaling araw wala pa din. Nagugutom na nga ako dito eh. Pinapatagal pa kasi andaming drama ng mga ito eh.Alam kong panira pero anong magagawa ko, nagugutom ako. 

 "Yvo. Come out."  Yon pala pangalan nun eh. Pero hindi na importante iyon. Bakit nila ginawa ito?

"I'm sorry, milady. I've failed you." He sincerely looked at her. That kind of look when you know that you've disappointed someone who expected a lot from you.

"Bakit niyo ito ginawa?"

"I wanted to avenge my mother's death. That man ruined my family! He deserves it." Tinuro niya ang lalaking kakamatay lang.

"No, you ruined yourself! Alam mo kung ano ang totoo,ha?" I paused.

 "Don't!"  I heard my master said. Too late.  "No, she needs to know the truth." I faced him and we looked at each other's eyes for a second. At alam kong alam niya na wala ng makakapigil sa akin. "Yung pamilyang sinasabi mo?

Maghihiwalay na sila the moment na umalis ka dito sa lugar na ito!"  I saw her flustered face but she immediately covered it and replied, "That's not true! They-"

"You want proof? Here." I tossed a brown envelope containing annulment papers. She didn't waste time and immediately opened it with shaking hands. Lacking strength to stand up, she kneeled in defeat and stared  straight at the ground. "Ano bang akala mo sa pamilya mo, perfect? Well, get real! Wala ka sa isang fairytale. This is reality!" 

Kitang kita ko sa mga mata niya ang lungkot at kawalan ng pag-asa.Unti unting tumulo ang mga luhang nagbabadyang tumulo kanina pa. Tila nag-uunahan itong bumaba mula sa kanyang pisngi. Pain. Regrets.

"In the end, what you did cannot be undone no matter how long you sulk there. I know it's painful but pain sticks to you like glue and no matter how you try to get away from it, it just doesn't go away." Jusko, Aphrodite Diamond Raven!

Ano bang ginagawa ko e mas lalo ko lang pinapabigat yung loob ng tao. Teka isip, isip! I coughed, "But we both know that a glue has its own expiration. You know what that is?" I said, nice Dia! Nag-angat siya ng tingin sa akin. It looks like she's anticipating something. "Alam kong gasgas na yung linyang ito pero Time heals. As time passes by the glue will slowly lose its effects. You know what that means,right?" I weakly smiled. I can feel it. Her suffering. Of course, the best way to understand someone is to emphatize with them.

 "So you mean to say if I would just patiently wait for the f*cking time to pass by, everything will be okay then? Don't give me that crap!  Paano mo ba nasasabi yan? Do you know how it feels to be in my shoes? Do you have any idea how it f*cking hurts?" Wow naman, maka-mura si ateng! Kanina ang hinhin neto ah? Teka, Dia wag kang lumayo sa topic! Isip nga! Tsk. I guess I don't have any choice but to play this kind of game called 'sympathy.' Hinila ako ng isang nilalang na bipolar pero nagpumiglas ako. "I am not done yet,MASTER." Nagsukatan kami ng tingin. I gave him an I-got-this look.Nang ma-realize niyang determinado ako dito, hinayaan niya na lang ako. He threw me a just-do-whatever-you-want-I'm-outta-here. Umalis na siya at kumuha sa ng isang pirasong yosi mula sa isang kaha ng Dunhill.Binalik niya ang kahang iyon sa bulsa niya. Okay,I know. BOYS HATE DRAMAS. Hinanda ko na ang speech ko kay Reine. Mejj naiirita na ako dito. She's too gullible.Masyado siyang nagpapadala sa mga emosyon niya.
