Promise

I wake up and get dressed and run downstairs into the livingroom I see dad kissing Lizzie with Lizzie on the table. " I thought you left" I hear dad say i scoff and I look at him and get my jacket leaving "Maisie come on" I hear him come down the step

I walk into pols slamming the door shut "he's fucking Lizzie"I groan sitting down on the couch next to her "oh love he just trying to move on" I stay quiet looking out the window " maisie what's wrong" I shake my head and look at pol "what happens if he realises he doesn't want me anymore pol that he wants a familiy with Lizzie and I'm just a reminder of his dead wife" I sob as pol hugs me " oh love your not a reminder if anything you look more than of your dad" she cups my face and wipes my tears

" the blue eyes that could Pearce someone's soul and you've got your dads smile" I shake my head standing up. " Maisie don't do something stupid" pol shouts I walk to the garrison

" fireball whiskey" Harry nods and I take it into the snug and sit down and light a cigarette and John walks in. I down my glass and I walk home and go to my bathroom

I see a bottle of pills and I take them out and put them on my desk I just hold them in my hand " maisie what-" I get snapped out of my day dream when they get ripped from my grip I see Ada

" Ada listen-" she shakes her head and puts them in her bag then she shuts my bedroom door " was you gonna take them" i shrug she sighs " we have a family meeting let's go" I nod we walk downstairs

I look at dad as we pull out a chair Linda speaks I roll my eyes lighting a cigarette " so business" they do business then Lizzie and Linda storm out and the door slams " take the door off the hinges next time" I shout at the door Linda shouts 'fuck off' i smirk

" okay family business" dad announces I just roll my eyes getting up and walking out and to the stables. I grab my horse and ride out past Johnny dogs

Tommys pov
Maisie walks out i sigh sitting in a chair running a hand down my face " she's sad Tom" pol informs me I nod " I know pol I fucking know she looked disappointed at me" Ada clears her throat and opens her pag reviewing pill bottle and putting them on the table " think I walked in before she was gonna take them" Ada says I stand up leaning over picking them up and looking at the label 'ibropuren' i shake my head and put them down

" you don't think she would" I ask pol and Ada pol shrugs " she lost her mum now she feels like she's loosing you Tom she's lost to much if you was 16 and losing eveyone what would you do"

Later that day i pacing the livingroom with a glass of whiskey when the door opens " Maisie" I ask putting my hand on my gun

Maisie's pov

I walk in shutting the door " Maisie" I roll my eyes wanting to walk out again but instead I walk in and see him. I walk and sit on the couch infront of the fire " why you still awake" I ask leaning my head back slouching" he sighs walking to the coat rack I look at the fire

When dad crouches infront of me making me sit up he pulls the pill bottle out infront of me " what are you fucking playing at" he says harshly slamming them on the side table I look down at my lap " Maisie what was you fucking playing at" he shouts at me gripping my chin " dad-" I feel a tear slip down my cheek as he stands up pulling me up with him

" no fucking listen to me okay. What was you gonna do Maisie" he asks pointing at me " i-I dunno" he huffs " you know what you was gonna do. You was gonna take them and then fucking overdosed and I'd come upstairs to fucking find you dead in your own bedroom my 16 year old daughter. My princess" he says shouting I let my tears freely fall

" I-I'm sorry" I say finally looking at him he pulls my head into his chest I hug him back " it's okay but can we make a promise" i nod as we sit on the couch with my head in his lap as he plays with my hair " promise that from now on we talk" i nod " I promise"

We make small talk and watch the fire for a while
