The end

After all of the event last night I most slept too tired to move I had no motivation so I look at the clock and see it's 5pm it's started going dark outside

I get changed into a suit leaving my hair down. I ate outside the house the cold winter air bites at my skin I walk to the garrison

" hey maisie" I give dad a light smile as I sit next to him but everyone else goes silent and just mutters to each other before dad starts a conversation with John

I zone out looking at the blank wall.

Maybe it is time. Maybe I'm just not worth this anymore I mean I'm just a problem everyone literally hates me I have no one anymore and mum she couldn't care less

I stand up " where you going" dad asks I sigh " back home I'll see you later" I hug him and kiss his cheek " love you dad" I walk out and home

I get home and go to my room shutting and locking the door I get the glass of water off my bed side and go to my bathroom finding my pill bottle sat on the counter

I grab them and look in the mirror. Even I'm disgusted by what I see.

I write a note if anyone finds it

I sit at the foot of my bed on the floor pouring an hand full of pills into my hand and shoving them in my mouth before culling the water down

I feel my eyes shut and black dots take over my vision and I'm at peace.

Toms pov

" Tom I've got a feeling about Maisie" I scoff not looking at pol " pol I'm not in the mood for you" " Tommy my feelings are never wrong go check right now" I sigh grabbing coat

" Tom I'll drive you you've been drinking" Ada offers and Everyone ends up coming " Ada step on it" she does and we are at the house in 5 minutes

I jump out and see Mary " Mary where's my daughter" I ask her she shrugs " in her room I last saw" I nod and run upstairs discarding my coat on a pole and Everyone follows I twist the handle and it's locked

So I bang on the door " maisie you in there" it's silent " Tom break the door down" polly says obviously worried I shoulder barge the door open when I slam the door open I see maisie on the floor

I run over " Tommy put her on her side" polly shouts I shake Maisie " maisie wake up wake up"no shout and she doesn't respond but her pulse is still there " someone call me a fucking ambulance" I shout as I see a pill bottle next to me I pick it up and see it's paracetamol

" maisie maisie please wake up" I put her move her hair out of her face and I see her eye lashes move " someone get me a an abmulance now" polly comes rushing in " Thomas they are here bring her down" I nod and I pick her up and they put her on a stretcher

We follow them but I get in my car " and follow the ambulance when I get there they already have her in surgery I go to the phone

" who's this " I hear Alfie's gruff voice " it's Tommy Maisie's in hospital she - I can explain if you come but I think you should it will help when she wakes up" I say and he hums " I'm on my way do they let dogs in" I laugh " no Alfie" he hums this time

"I'll bring cirral a different time them" I end the call an pace the waiting room " Thomas sit down your making me dizzy" Arthur says I ignore him

" maisie Shelby" I walk up to the doctor " are you the father" I nod. " yes I am tell me anything and everything" he looks at his clip board " we flushed her stomach and it look lied she tried to over dose she's gonna be very tired but other than that fine she will have to stay in over night" I nod and he tells me what rooms she in I go in stopping everyone else from going in

I Sit next to her I see she looks so pale and tired I grab her hand wiping my thumb over her knuckles like I used to do when she was a baby I see her eyes flutter and a tear fall

I just stared at her wondering what I was missing to where she wanted to die and I feel her squeeze my hand."maisie can you hear me" " yes dad" she says I sigh in relief

She opens her eyes and looks around before closing them again " I'm so sorry dad" is the first thing she says as I watch tears fall down her face a nurse comes in

" visitors are here for maisie" I look at maisie and she's shaking her head " no visitors" she nods and walks out " maisie what was you thinking" she turns her head to look at me and she turns on her side and just hold my hand tighter

"I-I" she takes a deep breathe letting more tears fall " I just had enough I was letting everyone down and I'm just not worth taking the family name through the mud" she sniffles " fuck the family name maisie I care more about you okay" she nods and I move closer kissing her head

The door opens and it's Alfie " right they said I couldn't come in so I said I'm a Jew and I'll kill them and they moved faster then the plague" maisie laughs turning on the back and sitting up a bit

" hello my favourite Shelby" she smiles " hey Alf no cirral" he shakes his head " what kind of hospital doesn't let animals but in a vets humans are allowed in" maisie laughs harder and groans holding her stomach

" what did you do eh" Alfie asks I nod at maisie " not yet want to get out of here"he nods and brings a chair sitting on the other side of Maisie's bed " so your horse" maisie smiles

I swear she's had that horse since she was a baby " yes Alfie my horse what have you done to him" Alfie smirks " cirral likes him" maisie laughs a bit the groans lightly

" I hate it here" she goes to wipe the hair out of her face but they had to put a iv in her " they put a fucking needle in me" she looks at me then stares at it

" she's terrified of needles isn't she" Alfie says I nod as maisie turns white " Alfie go get a doctor" he nods and rushes out " maisie Maisie" he breathe becomes uneven

" d-dad I-I think I'm go-" she throws her head back and starts seizing " mr Shelby you need to leave the room" they push me out and I go to the hallway and see John and Arthur and pol in the waiting room

" thought I told you're to leave" I growl and they shake there heads " how is she" I take a dee breathe " she was awake then she started seizing so they kicked me out" they nod and some doctor comes our way

" she's awake now it seems the seizure actually fixed things so she can be discharged tonight just make sure she's in eye sight" I nod and walk back into Maisie's room and see they are taking the needles out of her

After they finish off and Maisie sits up and starts putting her boots on. I told them to keep her vest on and pants and they listened

She stands up but wobbles a bit I go to grab her " dad I'm fine stood up to quick" I just watch her as she walks to me slowly " they really cut me open" she mutters I put a arm around her shoulder and we walk out of the hospitals slowly

We get in the car and it's a peaceful silence as we drive out of the city to the country side and Maisie tears her head on the window " I'm sorry dad" I hear her mutter

I grab her hand and squeeze it telling her it's okay

" remember what I said-" she cuts me off

" you can talk to me" she mimics my voice well tries to hug bursts out laughing " I don't sound like that" she nods through laughing
