(MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!)
Tommy's eyes widened a bit and he sat up.
"J-Jesus I'm sorry! I didn't mean...I-I don't know why...I'm sorry!" You scoffed softly and a small unsure smile spread across your face.
"Calm down, Tommy. Im not upset." You chuckled. You sat up as well. This time, your eyes stayed to your lap. You could feel Tommy's eyes on you.
"Really. I didn't mean it."
"It's fine." You said, finally looking up to him. You gave him a warm smile, "it was funny, anyways."
You giggled softly and nudged his shoulder. Tommy forced himself to smile a bit and nod.
"Don't be so uptight, Tomathy. It doesn't fit you." You said. He chuckled and rested his head on your shoulder.
"I can do what I want." He huffed. You smiled and looked over to him.
"You're quite clingy today, huh?" You sighed. He looked up to you, his fluffy golden hair hiding his eyes a little. He giggled like a child.
"Just a little." He sighed. You scrunched your your nose and blew in his face. His hair moved out of his face and he closed his eyes. When you stopped, he opened one eye to look at you.
"Your breath stinks." You said. He frowned and he scoffed.
"Rude..." you laughed and rested your head on his.
"You are a child." You sighed. He grinned and nuzzled closer.
"No. I am big man." You giggled and the two of you fell into a comfortable silence. You focused on the sound of your breathing. You leaned your weight against him, closing your eyes and relaxing.
"Tommy?" You finally spoke up. He bummed in response.
"Is...isn't this kind of what...couples do?" You asked. He looked up to you, moving his head. You didn't return his gaze.
"Why do you ask?" He clearly sounded concerned and confused. You moved away from him, forcing him to sit up straight.
"I just...aren't we a little too touchy for friends? I mean, I'm not upset. I just don't want others thinking we're a couple. I mean...Jacob already thought that. That's why I'm gonna be lonely to prom." You said. Tommy's face softened a little and he tilted his head to the side.
"Who cares what other people think—"
"I care! I'm not gonna be able to ever get a date if people are thinking I'm dating my best friend!" Tommy flinched as you raised your voice.
"I'm sorry, Y/N." He said, rubbing the back of his neck. You sighed and ran a hand through your hair. You were tired. It was having quite the affect on your mood.
"I'm sorry...I really didn't mean to yell, but I wish you would start taking what I say a little more seriously." You said. Tommy nodded, staying quiet. Guilt bubbled up inside you.
"Really...Tommy I'm sorry."
"No, it's fine. I didn't realize you were so upset about it." He said, giving you a small smile. His smile was too contagious. You only ended up smiling in return.
"So...no more hugs?" Tommy asked. You giggled and rolled your eyes.
"Hugs are okay."
"What about kisses with the bois!" He punched your shoulder. You started laughing.
"Tommy, I'm not even a boy! Also, gross!" You said, shoving him back. He laughed, rocking back far enough to fall off the bed with a yelp. You peeked over the bed, looking down to him.
"You good?" You giggled. He grinned up at you and snapped his fingers, shooting finger gums at you and winking.
"Never been better." He said. You sighed and grabbed his arms, yanking him back up onto the bed.
"You cheesy asshole." You snickered. He grinned and leaned against you.
"You love me." He cooed, booping the side of your head. You blushed a little and looked away, sighing.
"Who wouldn't?"
"Exactly! Everyone loves me. I am the big man." He said, crossing your arms. You smiled down to him.
"I'm serious, Tommy." Tommy sat up straight and looked to you, his fluffy blonde hair bouncing softly as he sat up, "you're a great friend. I'm lucky to have you."
A light tint of pink rose to Tommy's cheeks. His breath hitched and he looked away. He had a dorky smile on his face. He chuckled awkwardly.
"Thanks." He mumbled quietly, his eyes looking down. You fumbled with your hands and awkward silence fell over you two. Tommy looked up to you, smiling as if nothing just happened.
"So, video games?" You returned his gaze, a small grin finding its way on your face as well.
"Definitely."
