(2 DAYS TILL PROM)

You walked up to Tommy's door, the soft Sunday breeze blowing your hair to the side a little. You raised your hand and you knocked gently on the door. Stepping back, you waited for it to open.

You could hear loud footsteps approach the door. It sounded like the person was tripping over their foot with every step. You knew exactly who it was.

The door opened and you saw Tommy leaning against the door, pressing down on the handle he was gripping. He had a half eaten bagel in his hand, cream cheese left on his upper lip. He smiled.

"Hey Y/N!" He said, small crumbs of bagel falling out of his mouth. You gagged and laughed.

"Ew! Swallow before you talk." You said. He closed his mouth and blushed in embarrassment. He moved out of the way to let you in. You walked into his house, looking around.

"Where are your parents?" You asked. He closed the door behind him and swallowed the rest of what was in his mouth.

"They're out somewhere." He said, shrugging. He handed you his half eaten bagel, "you want the rest?"

You took it, shrugging and biting into it. Tommy plopped down onto his couch, the cushions bouncing him up a little. You sat beside him.

"So, what brings you hear to the big man dome?" He asked, draping his arms over the back of the couch. You giggled, wiping off your lips as you ate the rest of his bagel.

"I wanted to come see you." You said. He blushed a little and smiled.

"Oh? That's it. You just wanted to see me?" You paused. It did sound a little ridiculous out loud.

"Yeah...?"

"Well now you have. Leave." You said, pointing to the door. You both began to laugh and you smacked his shoulder.

"Shut up!" You squeaked. He leaned away, grinning.

"How dare you tell me to shut up!" He squeaked. You groaned and rolled your eyes.

"Stop." You giggled. He laughed and nudged your shoulder.

"Aw you know you love me." He said. You smiled and ruffled his fluffy golden hair.

"Of course."

Slowly and awkwardly, you two began conversation. You always loved talking to Tommy. He always had interesting opinions on everything. That and he never failed to make you laugh.

You couldn't get enough of Tommy's laugh. The way he would throw himself forward or backwards and shoved you a little. He was pretty touchy when he laughed and you thought it was cute. Love language? Physical touch most definitely. You loved seeing him scrunch you his nose when he would giggle a little. You just loved seeing him happy.

What was making it better was that the small bit of cream cheese on his upper lip was still there. He hasn't noticed or wiped it away. You hadn't said anything. You would look to it very often, though. You didn't realize that Tommy had taken notice.

Hallways through a conversation, he tilted his head to the side and watched you look to his mouth again.

"Y/N?" He asked. You looked up to him and hummed in acknowledgment. He paused.

"Are you looking at my lips?" He asked. Your face went bright red.

"H-Huh!? No! I...fuck sorry. Yes but not in the way you're thinking." You stuttered quickly. Tommy laughed.

"What other way is there?" He asked. You poked your own lip softly.

"You have...a little something on your lips." You giggled. He licked off the other end of his upper lip.

"Not there." You said. He instead licked down.

"No it's up...it's up here." You said. Tommy struggled to find where the small dollop of cream cheese was. You paused as an idea flowed through your head. You wanted to do something. You knew you shouldn't, but you wanted to. You bit your lip a little and smiled.

"Here let me get it for you." You said. You could have just taken your thumb and smeared it off. You could have tapped it for him to locate. Nope.

Instead, out of pure instinct, you cupped the side of his face and leaned forward. Tommy's breath hitched as your face was only a few centimeters away from his. You pressed your lips to his, softly licking off the small bit of cream cheese.

It was quick and short, but you still felt every bit of it. Your emotions were going wild as you pulled away and licked your lips. Tommy just sat there, baffled. His face was bright red. The poor guy looked like a tomato.

"There." You said, forcing an awkward smile. Tommy stared at you. He slowly touched where you kissed him, pursing his lips a little. He looked down and then back up to you. Silence fell over you and you slowly began to feel a pinch of regret.

"I'm sorry...I don't know what I was thinking." He smiled a little and shrugged.

"No it's fine...Uh...thank you?" He said, confused with his own response. You grinned and raised your eyebrow.

"Thank you?"

"Thank you for getting that...off my face." He said, gesturing to his face. You nodded.

"No problem." You said sheepishly. It went quiet and you looked away from him. After a little bit, Tommy scooted closer.

"Uhm...did you mean to...kiss me?" He asked. You looked to him and shrugged.

"Just making sure I'm actually gay." You said, a small smile spreading across your face. He fake gasped and punched your shoulder, laughing.

"You bitch!" You both fell into a fit of laughter, completely forgetting what just happened. Tommy stood and wiped off his mouth, making sure there wasn't anything left.

"Anyways, wanna go play video games?" He asked.

'Wow. He sure moved on fast'

You thought, raising your eyebrow. You paused.

'Yeah because he doesn't like you, dumbass'

You told yourself. You shook it off and grinned.

"Sure!"

He rushed off to his room as you stood up from the couch. You sighed as your eyes trailed down.

'More like making sure I actually like you...'

You thought. You're eyebrows furrowed a little as you rubbed your head and headed off to his room.

'And sadly I do...'
