The black wolf let out a cackle-like laugh, which turned more friendly as Jarson heard it. Surprised, Jarson flinched a bit until his fur finally laid flat on his back. His heart rate however, was still quickening.

"Haha, sorry. Didn't mean to startle you." The she-wolf told the cat, removing her face from his.

"What kind of sick joke is this?" Jarson asked darkly, his voice fading into a mere whisper.

"Not a joke, young cat. Not a joke at all. The part about respect is true. Anyway, I never meant to get involved in your conversation, especially if you weren't alright with it. Didn't mean any harm." Arrow insisted, standing upright and staring at the few animals that surrounded her.

Phoenix blinked constantly, until he decided to speak.

"Don't worry about Jarson. The furball can't help but open his mouth at the wrong time. He really never meant to upset you."

Jarson hissed at Phoenix in a strangely loving way, sticking his tongue out playfully at the older wolf he cared so much about.

"Ah, I see. Nope, he didn't upset me."

"Not even the part about how it was low for a wolf to butt into a conversation?" Corrie now put in.

"I'm not angry because he's right." Arrow shrugged, causing Corrie to agree with his brother for once.

"Well, we were just about to leave." Jarson snapped, glad he found an excuse to leave. Phoenix however, didn't budge, so Jarson leaped off his back, skidding down the cliff himself, being cautious.

"Special, isn't he?" Storm added, chuckling softly.

"A real handful, that's for sure." Arrow agreed, nodding.

"Well, we better get a move on before something worse happens." Phoenix sighed, now remembering Corrie. "Corrie, I almost forgot! Your wounds!"

Corrie blinked, looking at his hind leg, which was oozing blood.

"Yeah, your neck is also bleeding!" Storm exclaimed.

"Come on, we have to get him out of here! Otherwise he could die from blood loss!" The black wolf said impatiently, taking the two cats and placing them on his back, following Jarson down the cliff.

Arrow poked her head over the cliff. "Hey, um, I know this is kind of sudden...but, can I come?" She asked.

Storm shrugged. "Sure, I guess. As long as it's alright with the others. Jarson, mainly."

"Thanks." Came the reply as the she-wolf began crawling down.
