Tears stream down your face

When you lose something you cannot replace.

And if you're still breathing, you're the lucky ones.

'Cause most of us are heaving through corrupted lungs.

Setting fire to our insides for fun,

Collecting names of the lovers that went wrong.

The lovers that went wrong.

Breathing heavily,  Corrie ran across the grass, which was half-way between being dead, and completely green, giving it a look of mixture of the two colors.

He was panicking, his heart racing as it thumped in his chest, almost feeling like it would explode. If he had time, he would attempt to grab at his chest in a motion, trying to tell someone that it was painful. Of course, there was no one around, and he was moving too quickly to try to stop.

His heart did hurt. It hurt very much, in fact. Not from literal pain, which most felt when about to have a heart attack, but when one has damaged another very badly, be it feelings or something else.

He was so upset. He had crushed Phoenix...only made him cry harder...made him seem like a monster, which Corrie out of all people knew he wasn't! What had he done...Phoenix was already so sensitive being as he was, and now Corrie had just made it even worse.

He was the bad guy now. It certainly wasn't his intention...what could he do to make up for this? Could he even make up for this? Or was it too late? If it was too late, Corrie would never forgive himself.

Had he lost all of Phoenix's trust? What about Jarson's, and Storm's? And then he thought of his real father. Oh god, Shadow would be so disappointed in him...hurting his one and only true caretaker who he had grown up with for years now...Corrie knew that he should have known better...he should have never assumed that Phoenix would've killed Shadow!

Jarson was right! It was PHOENIX! He would never hurt them...he had found them when they were only kittens. If he had really wanted to kill them, which would be very much unlike him, he would have done so already. The fact that he put that much determination in raising the two cats, showed of how much of a good guy he really was.

And how could Corrie blame him? Just, out of nowhere, he had accused Phoenix due to confusion, anger and a lie..even just a small one which didn't have much of a big importance.

He had to go back...but how could he? When? When should he go back? Corrie had no idea. Surely right now, a few minutes after the incident, couldn't be the right time. He needed more time to be by himself...alone, just him and his thoughts.

Suddenly there was a huge pain in his chest. Literal pain, no more of an emotional hurting, a real one. He groaned as sharp bursts of pain shot through him. He finally tripped over his own paws, and landed firmly on the earth, collapsing as he shivered not from the cold, but instead from weakness. He felt so sore, and so useless.
