Laurenfryer_ - can I please have your figure!
LaceyLou_x - can I please just be you!

It was a horrible day to be walking to work. The rush of the busy streets, the humidity, but the warm rain splashing down on the sidewalks, the older generation looking over at the younger generation making judgements by the way they were dressed or the way they presented themselves. The office jobs just finishing for the weekend and rushing off to their loved ones or the social life that they had waiting for them, yet Lacey was on her way to a job that she hated, a job that she loathed, but it was something to pay the bills, and it gave her a steady income, something that she was slowly saving for something better.

"Watch where you're going love!" A male shouts as they push past into Lacey, causing her to look up from the pavement that she had been following with her eyes to dodge the puddles that were slowly forming on the tiles. "Sorry" she mumbled, but continued with her journey to work.

It was almost like Lacey's life had rooms turn again, the Chelsea boys disappearing into their isolation for the Euro tournament, Callum taking a step back into his own normality which left Lacey to think about things she never liked to think about, her own imagination running away with itself.

When Lacey finally turned up to work, she couldn't help but shake the feeling that this was all she was for in life, that she would always work a job that barely allowed her to live, she felt as if she would always just be surviving.

Masey:
Missing me? (;

Laces:
Shouldn't you be kicking a ball around?

Masey:
I'm in downtime thought I'd see if you miss me

Laces:
Why does everything go wrong?

Masey:
Why, what's wrong? ):

Laces:
You doing your faces backwards for a start, loser x

Lacey placed her phone in her little cubby locker, and pulled on an apron, the thought of Masons perfectly timed text making her smile throughout half of her shift, until she heard soft music drifting in from outside. "I'm gonna clean the outside tables Kye" She mumbled to Kyle behind the till, who nodded his head, not really interested in what was going on around him, the whole day had been slow in the pub, but Lacey thought she had now worked out to why.

"I'll be here waiting in the corner waiting, with a bottle of wine, but you never seem to notice when I give you the eyes" a busker sang, putting his heart and soul into the song, one of which Lacey had never heard, so she just assumed it was an original.

"Karaoke on a Tuesday night came as no surprise, I should have noticed, that you were playing me hard to get, cause you never wanted me knowing, that you want me too" he continued to sing, Lacey tapping her hand on her thigh, enjoying the beat on the song, but the lyrics speaking to her in more ways than one.

"I know that love is overrated, so give me the night, so you can get to know me, so until that moment, I'll be waiting in the corner with another open bottle of wine, even though we just met for the first time"

Lacey took her phone out of the apron and began to record the busker, catching his gaze smiling at her. Lacey smiled at him, and then continued to go back into the pub, her shift finishing in another hour, quickly looking at her texts as she walked through the empty pub.

Masey:
Oh, I'm offended, so are you coming on Tuesday? :)

Laces:
Me and Lauren are both coming.

Masey:
I care more about you coming :)

Lacey chose for the time being to ignore the message Mason had sent, not really sure on how she felt about it. She felt her phone buzz in her hand and looked down, figuring it would be Mason again, but smiled when she saw Lauren's name.

Lozza:
Hey, you free tonight? Pizza and Netflix with me and Raffa? Xx

Lace:
I'm at work till 7, I can taxi it there if you like? X

Lozza:
I'll pick you up, don't be daft! Bring a bag and stay the night Xx

Lace:
Okay b X

Lacey stood with a smile on her face, the words she had thought about earlier about her life going back to how it was before changing again. "You seem perkier" Kyle smiled, as Lacey smiled back. "Happiness looks good on you, and because I'm feeling generous, you can go, it's quiet and Lucy is here now anyway" Kyle smiled, as Lacey thanked him quickly, taking her apron off and walking out of the pub.

The hustle and bustle of the busy high street had died down, and she couldn't wait to actually spend some time with another female. She loved Dani with all her heart, but felt that since she was now seeing her brother it made the situation a little awkward, for no reason whatsoever, and she knew she would be seeing Dani and probably Callum over the weekend since they worked 9-5 jobs Monday to Friday and wasn't the most social butterflies on a weekend.

Lacey arrived back at her apartment a lot quicker than she thought she would, but she was excited to be going back out her apartment in a short while. Lacey grabbed a bag and started go back some clothes for an overnight stay, taking her make up off and getting in the shower, ensuring she was fresh and clean for her evening plans. Lacey pulled on an oversized shirt and some shorts and dried her hair, pulling some shoes on before checking everything was off in her apartment for the first time in a while she wouldn't be staying here and her own anxiety started to come out to play with her, thinking that maybe Mason had asked again that Lauren would spend time with her, maybe the whole thing was a game for them all and it was just to see how long they could toy with her before they dropped her like everyone else had done before.
