The atmosphere around the table went quiet, there was defiantly a tension, but it was clear the females knew a lot more than the males at this point. "I'm going to get a drink, does anyone want one?" Lacey questioned to the table standing up, but keeping her gaze on the wine bottle that was over half empty now. "Erm, I'll come help ya carry" Jack states, standing up from the table, and walking with Lacey to the bar.

"So, what's going on then?" Jack questioned, as Lacey leaned up the bar, an audible groan coming from the small girl. "Mason kissed a girl names Chloe, not even five minutes after kissing me" Lacey mutters, as Jack grins down at his girlfriends friend. "You're not supposed to be smiling dickhead" Lacey mutters, but smiles at him none the same. "Nah, it's just me and Chilly had a bet that it was gonna happen, he owes me a tenner" Jack laughs, as Lacey rolls her eyes. "You're missing the point here" Lacey states, as she orders some vodka and some mixers to the table, as well as another two bottles of wine, refusing to ignore the two for one deal. "What he did was a dick move, but what's going on with you two?" Jack questioned, as he put in a for a round of 20 odd bottles of some beer. "Nothing is going on, which leads me to the predicament of the reasons of why I shouldn't give two shits about it" Lacey mutters, as she feels a hand on her shoulder.

"It was a dick move, and I'm still trying to work out why it happened" Declan's voice states, as Lacey turns around and sees her friends boyfriend with his sympathetic eyes. "Chillys on his way" Dec smiles, as Lacey nods her head. "Please tell me Cal isn't on the way too, I don't know if I could deal with him as well" Lacey mutters, as Declan gives a sympathetic smile. "Probably is since his driving Chilly" Declan states as Lacey nods her head. "Well, I'm going to go to the table and grab a glass and head up to the roof, I'm going to need five minutes before I play happy family" Lacey mutters. "I just, I need to get my feelings in check, I'm sorry I'm being a shit person right now" Lacey mumbles, as she rubs her arm with her hand. "Take as long as you need, I'll say someone rang and it was important" Declan smiles. "Here, have this glass, open the wine, come back when you're ready" Jack smiles, handing Lacey a glass.

Lacey entered the roof and the rush of the cold air made her shiver, but it also brought her back to reality of everything that was happening.

Lacey was denying the feelings that were growing for Mason, and put them to the back of her mind because she was vulnerable in this situation, it meant she was going to have to let him in at some point, and as far as she was concerned; she wasn't ready for that yet.

She had experienced small moments with Mason, of stolen kisses to late nights in a hotel room, to a late night phone call or a good morning text, no matter how innocent the gesture was, it had happened, they had been mature and slept together, and said they would talk about it at a later date, but the problem was now, the day was here, as well as a plot twist of an ex girlfriend on the cards.

Lacey picked her phone up and rang the one person she knew she could vent to without fear of it getting back to the group inside, and that was her best friend.

"Lace, you okay?" Danis voice breathed down the phone, Lacey nodding her head, holding her lip between her teeth, trying to steady her breathing. "Lacey, are you okay?" Danis voice called again, a little more panic and worry in her tone of voice this time. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine, I just wanted to talk" Lacey whispered, and she hears Dani sigh down the phone. "Please don't tell me his hurt you, I'll break his fucking ankles" Dani mutters, as Lacey can't help but giggle. "No, no, it's nothing like that, and I promise I'll fill you in tomorrow, I just wanted to check you're still on for open mic" Lacey whispered, trying to change the subject, because although she could process that what had happened, had indeed happened, she couldn't quite get to grips with why it felt like she had just been cheated on when she wasn't even in a relationship to begin with. "Of course, I'll be picking you up at 6" Dani replied, and the smile in her voice was evident. "Okay, I'll message you when I get home, love you" Lacey whispered, as she hung up the phone, holding it to her chest as she looked out at the view in front of her.

Lacey felt calm, for the first time in a while, breathing in and out, looking over at the town below, all of it falling to a standstill, the buzz of the Euros now not being seen anywhere, no evidence that it had ever even happened within the streets below.

"What are you doing all alone up here?" Masons voice whispered down her ear, as she felt his arms wrap around her waist, pulling her close into his body, feeling his own warmth take over her skin.
"I needed some air" Lacey whispered, but despite her whole body being torn between emotions, she couldn't help but lean into him. "We need to talk" Mason whispered, placing a tender kiss to the side of her temple, resting his head on top of hers. "There's nothing to talk about" Lacey whispered, her eyes still staring at the world in front of her. "I didn't know she was coming-" Mason attempted to start, but Lacey cut him off. "And it's not like it matters, there's nothing going on between us, whatever this is, it's nothing to cry about" Lacey whispered, as she pulled herself away from Masons grip, turning around to finally face him. "Like I said, footballs more important, and this whole thing has been nice, but we're two different people, two different goals in life, and maybe all of this was just a heat of the moment thing when two people wanted something instead of needing something" Lacey whispered, giving Mason an empathetic smile, before she walked back into the bar, downing the glass of wine as she walked back to the table.
