Chapter 15: A Wolf is NOT a Dog

I let everyone go ahead of me to Sonic's house. I, believe it or not, knew how to get there. I walk through the forest not far from Sonic's place, enjoying the warmth of the sun. Just as I was about to run off, a laughter stopped me.
"Hey babe~" Scourge wraps his arms around me.
"Oh crap." I groan as I try to pull away from the flirtatious hedgehog.
His grip tightened. "C'mon babe~" Scourge winks at me. "You can't run from me forever."
"I'm willing to try." I step on his foot and take off away from him. A force collided into me and I roll on the ground. I stand, only to have Scourge shove me into the ground roughly, pinning me down.
"You are so cute when you play hard to get." He licks his lips as he stares into my eyes lustfully. I squirm, trying to push him off, but it was pointless. Blast Scourge for being stronger!
"Get off me!" I scream.
Scourge smirks and lends down, whispering into my ear. "I will make you mine~" He slipped his head down, kissing my neck softly.
I feel heat rise to my face and I shutter. Scourge smirked, showing his sharp teeth off. I squirm even more when Scourge leans close to my face. His lip were inches from mine when something or someone barreled into Scourge, sending him into the ground.
"You really gotta stop flirting with everything that has a face." A silver she wolf growled. She glances over at me, her gold eyes flash with amusement. I watch the wolf pick Scourge up and slam him into a tree.
"Oh lovely, if it isn't the little dog." Scourge snickered. The wolf's eyes flashed with anger and a large ax appeared in her free hand.
"I am NOT a dog! I'm a wolf!" She spat in his face.
I tilt my head to the side. "Is there any difference?" I whisper to myself quietly.
"Yes. There is." The wolf glared at me. My ears fold back. How did she hear me?
Scourge smirked . C'mon babe, if your a mutt then your a mutt-"
The wolf tightened her grip on Scourge's neck. "I am not a mutt! You just have a death wish." She pressed her ax into his neck. If she applied anymore presser, she'd break skin.
I stand and walk over. "Hey, I hate Scourge just as much as the next person, but do ya really gotta kill him?" The wolf glared at me for a few seconds, but it felt like ages. She grumbled something under her breath and released Scourge.

"Thanks babe~" Scourge winked at me. "I knew you loved me."

I give him a sweet smile before I slam my fist into his face. "Beat it, before I change my mind about letting her kill ya." I growl.

"I'll do it now!" The silver wolf smiled at Scourge evilly. Scourge went pale and just like that, was gone.

I turn to the wolf. "Thanks for the help. He drives me crazy."

She smiled. "He drives everyone crazy. I'm Haven. Haven the Wolf." Haven held out her hand, which I gladly shook.

"I'm Zara, Zara the Hedgehog." I hand her a smile.

"Zara? Oh hey! So your the girl that Sonic wouldn't shut up about." Haven chuckled.

I cross my arms. "Sonic's been talking about me behind my back?!" I say in mock shock. "How dare he!"

Haven laughed and played along. "Yeah, he has. Always talking so negative!" She rolled her eyes. "So what are you doing all by your lonesome? Did Sonic ditch you?"

I shook my head. "More like I ditched him. I wanted to go for a run."

"A run eh?" She gave me a toothy smile. "You wanna race?"

My eyes light up instantly. "Yeah I wanna race!"

"We will race to Sonic's place. The first one there wins. Just no cheatin', ya hear?"

I nod. She counted to three and we bolt. I'll admit Haven is fast. Almost as fast as me, but not quite. We skid to a stop in front of Sonic's house.

"I win!" I fist bump the air. Haven takes a minute to process what just happened.

Haven smiled. "Nice job, you would give Sonic a run for his money." The wolf glances at the door. "Hey, do you like pranks?"

I cock an eyebrow at her. "Yeah, what of it?" Haven gives me a sly smile.

"Did you know Sonic is afraid of water?" She asked walking to the garage, wearing a large smirk.

I tilt my head. "He is?" Haven nodded, still smirking. I wasn't quite sure what she was getting at.... Until she starts to fill up a large bucket with water.

"Let's wake up sleeping beauty."

Oh boy....
