After cramming down about ten burgers, I sit back in my seat. Sonic was helping himself to his..... Tenth plate of chili dogs, I think. I don't see what he likes about them so much, they taste strange to me. Don't get me wrong, I like chili, but chili dogs? I'll pass. Then again, everyone has different tastes.

Haven and Silver talked more than me. Which is saying something. I talk over the speed limit. Anyway, Silver and Haven seem to get along pretty well. Even though I'm still curious over the mission Silver mentioned earlier. What mission? Mission for what? For who? Did things go well? Or downhill? I wanted to ask, but Haven's glare normally shut me up. She's very intimidating.

"So Zara," Sonic's voice slices though my bundled thoughts. "I was wondering if you remember anything?"

"Oh, no I haven't." My ears fell. Amnesia sucks, nothing more said.

"Remember? Remember what?" Haven asked. Guess Sonic hasn't told her about my memory loss just yet. The look on his face gave me my answer.

Silver sighed. "You haven't told her yet?"

"I forgot..." Sonic facepalmed.

"Told me what?" Haven crossed her arms.

"I have no recollection of my past." I answer. "I remember only as far back as Eggman finding me, but that's it. I don't know where I'm from, I don't know who my family is, if I have a family." I shake my head with a heavy sigh.

Sonic laid his hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry Zara. We will find a way to get your memory back."

Haven frowned. "You can't recall anything before then? Anything at all?" I shake my head and the she-wolf leaned back in her seat. "Funny how this all has taken place after Sonic, Silver, and Shadow return from their own mission. Didn't you say you guys ended up on a different planet?"

Silver nods. "Yeah, we didn't explore or anything. We were fighting Doctor Eggman at the time."

Sonic stands and walks to the window. "Then that.... Human showed up..." His eyes glazed with grief.

"Human? What human?" I asked.

"A girl," Sonic said without looking at us. "With long brown hair and blue eyes. She...." Sonic closed his eyes, taking in a sharp breath. "She took a hit from Eggman's robot.... And..."

Haven stood up and walked over to her friend. "It's okay Sonic-"

"It's not okay!" Sonic turned on his heel to face us. "It's my fault she was.... k-killed!" His voice cracked. "If I would have been faster-"

"Sonic, enough." I walk over to the azure hedgehog. "You can't blame yourself."

"The attack was supposed to hit me, not that innocent girl. She pushed me out of the way, she saved me... But lost her own life in the process." Sonic's emerald orbs filling with tears. "It's my fault she's gone."

I couldn't help it. I straight up slap him across the face. Sonic held his cheek, starting at me with wide eyes of surprise. Even Haven and Silver were taken aback.

"Snap out of it! So someone died to save you, I get that. But that does NOT mean it was your fault. Were you the one who fired? No. Were you the one who had her push you last second? No. Does one loss life make you any less than you are now? NO! Sonic the Hedgehog, you need to pull yourself out of your self-pity and guilt. You didn't kill her, it wasn't your fault. Would she blame you? I highly doubt it, I know I wouldn't. She saved you. On her own actions. You didn't make her push you out of the way. She chose to help you. Its. Not. Your. Fault."

The room fell dead silent. Only our breaths could be heard along with the ticking clock on the wall. Maybe I was too rough? Too mean or demanding? All three? Sonic's body shook lightly, his head hanging down so I couldn't see his eyes.

Crap, I'm making him cry. "Sonic, I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" I was cut off by a roar of laughter coming from Sonic. Wait. Laughter!? Sonic's whole body shook from his laughter. Tears slid down his peach cheeks.

"M-man Zara, I'll say you got spunk!" Sonic said once his laughter died down. "Your right. I shouldn't blame myself too hard. I'll lay off."

"Darn you blue boy, you had me thinking I made you cry." I sock him in the arm, unable stop the smile that conquered my face.

"Now why would I cry?" Sonic chuckled, his voice carried sarcasm.

I tilt my head. "Do you cry, Sonic?"

The male hedgehog blinked at my question. "Do I cry? Of course, everyone cries. Its natural."

"But your a hero, why would you cry for anything?" I quizzed.

"I may be the hero everyone knows, but that doesn't mean I don't have feelings like everyone else. I laugh, I scream, I cry. We all do. Even Shadow cries, it takes a lot, but he does. You would have to be heartless not to cry over something." Sonic stretches, putting his hands behind his head. "Don't you cry, Zara?"

I ponder over this. Do I cry? Most likely so, Sonic's right about everyone crying. But since I've lost my memory, I came close to crying only once. When Eggman betrayed me. Although, I refused to let them fall. So, in a sense, I do cry. But I also don't. "Yeah, I guess so. Not since I've woke up by that lake Eggman found me by."

Silver tilt his head. "Hm... So you haven't cried since losing your memory... How odd."

"How is that odd?" I ask.

"It's just, with everything going down, with no recollection of your past and Eggman betraying you the way he did... It's a little surprising."

I nod. Guess that is a little odd. "Well, I came close to crying when Eggman "dumped" me off. But I wouldn't let them fall..."

Haven smiled. "Hey, I have an idea!"

We turn to the exited wolf as she bounced up and down.

"You have an idea? Oh no, its the apocalypse." Silver chuckled as Haven sends him a 'sleep with both eyes open tonight' look of death.

"Funny, ha ha." She growls. "But my idea is we throw a party to celebrate Zara joining us. You did the same for me, why not her?"

Sonic jumps up and fist bumps Haven. "That's the spirit! Lets have a party!"

"You don't have to do that guys." I wave my hands, shaking my head. "Don't waist your time."

Sonic laid his strong arm across my shoulders. "It won't be a waist of time at all! You're our friend, we always throw parties for new friends. It's what we do."

I take in a sharp breath, feeling my body tense. "I don't know..." It felt weird to have Sonic stand so close to me.

"C'mon Zara, it'll be fun~" Haven said in a song voice.

Silver smiled. "I'm all for it! We can all pitch in together to get the house decorated and invite others over too."

I sigh, looks like I'm out voted. "Alright fine. As long as I can help with the decorations."

"When should we have it?" Haven asked.

Sonic took his arm off me, turning so he could look at all of us. "A week from now. That way we can get the word out and all."

I nod. "Alright, lets get to work."
