Waking up Monday morning I truly couldn't wait for today, today was when our classes start. I know it's cheesy as hell to be excited for this but I truly am
I walk out of my room with my bag in hand just as Mila leaves hers
"Hey you" She smiled bumping our hips together as we start to walk
"Hey, you excited" I asked and she nodded
"Not as much as you though clearly" she said looking me up and down as I had a little skip to my step 
This was the first time I was somewhere dedicated to training. Every other time I have danced has been in a studio back home, it was amazing and I love all the people there but I think I need something serious in this department

We walk into our first studio to be face to face with most of the people from Saturday night, Mila and I make out way over to the group we were with the other night. Seems to be where we are gonna spend most of our time
"Ready for the lime light girls?" Kieran asked us, I nodded while Mila shrugged
"Alright! My Name is Leon and I'm going to be your teacher this year" The teacher loudly said walking in looking at each and everyone one of us
He smirks as he glances at the last person before turning back to direct the entire class
"So many little baby faces in here, so much excitement, so much hope that you are going to jump into the big leagues huh" He chuckled
"Wrong. I'm going to work you so hard that even your little toe will feel it. This place is going to whip you into shape and best believe I am going to make you work until your hurt" He continued, not gonna lie he was intense. I glanced over to see Mila sharing my expression while the group looked unphased.. Tell me you went to public school without telling me you went to public school huh...
"I see some familiar faces from our open days and some brand new faces!" The teacher said
"I see some people this place has had their sights on since they were kids and some that we didn't know existed until the application came through" He continued
"but in here, you are all the exact same. I couldn't care if you trained professionally your entire life or all you did was turn in your bedroom till you mother yelled at you. If you can dance then dance!" He yelled making us all jump a little bit 
"as you know, here at this school we have an inside programme that competes and preforms. It's a mixture of all the years.. This year we have 3 spaces so the entire morning is going to closely observed from the balcony by the team and at the end. They'll make their decision" The teacher said motioning to the balcony upstairs glancing up there were 7 people say there. None of them looked intimidating so I guess that is something huh?

"Alright lets start this with the routine you were supposed to learn over summer break. You were given a baseline and I want to see what you did with what you had. I want to see your personalities shine through on this" Leon said, I knew this routine like the back of my hand even if I only had 1 week to learn it behind my parents back. I was ready... I think
I watched as one by one we all performed it, I guess this was a good way to unofficially audition, if we were all doing the same then none of us would be at an advantage
"Okay let's see Natalie Phillips" Leon said making my breath hitch. Everyone here was incredible and I was following Jess, everyone was cheering and was in love with her technique and I won't lie so was i
How was I meant to beat that
"Let's see what you got Pittsburgh" She smirked walking passed me. I nodded before taking to the floor

I took the piece and I made it into something that I'm proud of, we only got a minute of the song but it was enough for me to really put my best tricks in
"That was incredible" Mila said as I came back, I looked over at Leon who was smiling as he nodded at me
"moving along! Neveah Anderson!" He then called, I turned back to Mila who was still smiling while I could hear Jess muttering something to James
"Quit it Jess, just because there may be someone more talent doesn't mean you can be a bitch about it" He muttered back probably hoping nobody heard
I think I've pissed off the queen bee already. Great start Nat

"Okay, that was pretty good, I reckon we have a lot of talent to work with in here. Now moving swiftly along, there will be a lot of partner work through out this year, finding the perfect partner is important. It's important to build a level of trust. It's a foundation of all the tricks and lift you will do together" Leon said pacing up and down the class room
"I have my idea's on who should be with who, but I want to be certain because after I pair you up there is no going back." He continued right as there was a knock at the door
"Come in" He said as the 7 people from upstairs walked in. We all looked amongst each other before turning back
"You so got in Jess calm down" I hear Kelsie say, this was clearly important to Jess
"As I was saying, these pairings will be final. We will get the official ones on Friday. For now, I have good news" he said smiling before allowing two of the people out of the 7 step forward
"We want to start off by saying you are all amazing, I think this is the hardest decision we've had to make over the last 4 years" The blonde girl said
"What Ellie is trying to say is that we have our final 3 and wish we could have taken more of you" A brunette boy said
"want to break the news Caiden" Ellie said with a smile while looking around at all us of
"We have James" Caiden said nodding at James
"Kieran" Ellie replied
"And finally, Natalie" Caiden said smiling at me, I froze still. I was in shock.. I can't even
Mila instantly pounced on me while I could hear the annoyance coming from Jess as she stormed out
"Can you three stay back" Ellie asked as we all nodded. Mila winked at before leaving with Kelsie, Ashley and Harry

The boys and I started walking towards the group in front of us
"Welcome" Ellie smiled hugging me, as I pulled away I overheard a exchange between Caiden and I
"Right Little bro, you have to work hard. I got you here now you have to fight to stay" He said making Caiden roll his eyes
"Are you sure you made the right choice with me" I asked Ellie because obviously there were a lot of talented people here
"Of course we did! You are mental" Caiden chuckled
"He's right Natalie. This Academy have been watching you since you were 7 years old. You royally earned you spot" Leon said inserting him into this conversation
"7 years old?" James asked
"Natalie here has a fair amount of trophies for her Dance back ground" Leon chuckled. The boys looked at me a little taken back
"Same with your sister, we offered her a position but she never took it" Leon said, They offered Megan a place? But then why did she leave to be a Doctor
"She's a Doctor now instead" I sighed
"You both have an amazing gift, lets hope one of the Phillips Sisters can use it huh" Caiden said making me smile and nod
This meant I had more to prove then just wanting to be here. I was doing this for Megan too. I want to show her what she could have gotten, the life she could have lived. Maybe this time she'll be in my shadow
