Chapter 6

I almost retched, the world was a weird place, I almost fainted but was saved by Gabrielle. He climbed through the window and laid me on my bed, I passed out from overwhelming fear and stress.
About two hours later I saw Gabrielle wearing a long cream coloured robe with gold stitching. He sat with Corvus and looked quite angry at him, I slowly sat up my head was spinning with questions.
I wanted to wake up slowly but Gabrielle had other ideas, "so I know this is hard for you but yes I made you, I don't know why this crow is attached to you. I mean I'm no bird, but this is considered a dick move."
A surge of energy rushed through me, I explained everything about Corvus to Gabrielle. He nodded and scowled at Corvus, when I finished he got up, cracked his knuckles and grabbed Corvus by the neck. His grip was stupid strong, I choked until he snapped Corvus' neck. Normally I would attack him for killing Corvus but deep down I was reluctant to retaliate against him.

I saw the soul float like a vapour, Gabrielle snapped his fingers and in an instant, I was floating above my body. I panicked trying to go back but I saw that Gabrielle grabbed my ghostly arm and calmed me down. "Do you want me to show you how I made you?" I nodded and he showed me how I was made by describing and pointing at my body. Then he waved his hand over my body placing the part of the soul that was in Corvus above my heart. I had no rush to enter my body and was able to travel spiritually with my body still alive.

Gabrielle shoved me inside my body, I awoke with a start. "What was that all about?" I bluntly asked, staring deep into Gabrielle's green eyes. He chuckled and said, "I'm well known back home for my special humans, you are a Soul Wanderer. The little part of your soul is meant to keep you alive while your main soul is meant to travel. You can possess anything, that crow was a complete fluke. Someone on my team fucked up but yes, you can travel far from your body but I do warn you that it's dangerous which is why I'm here."

I stood up, ran to the toilet and vomited, I felt Gabrielle comfort me. "Yup these are the side effects, this is why I'm here, I want you to live normally but practice this power too. Also, call me Gab and I will protect you from others, I can disguise myself I'll help you ok."
I sputtered "ok that's fine, thank you Gab." My throat stank, it felt tender from the stomach acid and vomit. I felt a lot better and brushed my teeth, I looked at the cabinet mirror above my sink, to my shock I noticed my skin was ghostly white.
My head was spinning again but before I could fall, Gab appeared from thin air and caught me.
Sleep greeted my sick, weird and twisted mind, I was sick for two weeks, but when I was awake I noticed that Gab took my place.

Whenever I was up I noticed Gab took on my appearance to such amazing detail, however, he changed back when he entered my flat. Luckily Gab being my creator took on my personality, voice and intellect. I could die here and no one would know, it was freeing but it wasn't until I decided to use my power to find where who and what he did as I lay ill in my room.
I prepared my room and decided to do it, I heard him leaving the flat. With a deep breath, I closed my eyes and exhaled, just like that I felt myself leave. I looked down and saw my eyes shut like I was sleeping,  I followed him outside.

It was so freeing to fly, I saw him talking to Frankie I daren't get too close to him. So without thinking I possessed Frankie, her soul was very strong and tried to fight back. I couldn't possess her, but I did manage to say something before getting ejected from her body, "it's me Frankie, the real Claire. The Claire you see now is an imposter."

I awoke in my room, I guessed that my soul got tired and returned to me. There was no feeling of sickness in me, I felt healthy and back to normal. So I got ready to shock a lot of people, I heard Gab coming up the hall, I hid in the bathroom, the front door opened and I tackled Gab, I needed people to see us. I needed people to see us together.
The only kicker is that it wasn't Gab but Frankie.
I let her go, when I found out and apologised .
I took her in and embraced her, she was exactly what I wanted right now. I burst into tears, my heart felt like it was being healed, all because of her presence.
After my tearful moment, I decided to tell her everything. I knew I could trust her, with that I gave a sigh and held onto her hands.

"For the past two weeks I have been replaced, his name is Gabrielle and he's called a 'Knight' of some sort. He made me and gave me a special ability. The crow Corvus is dead part of my soul in Corvus was meant to stay inside me.
It's my main soul that can travel and possess bodies, meanwhile my little soul fragment that inhabited Corvus keeps my body alive. I'm sorry Frankie for being such a freak!"
I looked into Frankie's beautiful eyes and sobbed into her shoulder, she consoled me with understanding and a smile. "It's ok I've heard about Knights before, and I don't care what ability you have, I love you even if you were dangerous. I knew you tried to possess me earlier which is why I'm here, I liked Corvus but what you have now is so much better."
