- Conner

It's morning. I slept for too long.

Everything has changed.

My gear is on. I have a weirdly sharp headache.

My ballistic dagger is tied firmly to my left hand. I also have another knife in my pocket - the Cursed Dagger.

My room is complete with a living quarters, and an empty armoury.

This is the final game?

I look into the sky - this whole playing field isn't outside, it's artificial.

There is a 50-hour timer counting in the sky, and all 12 of our faces are up on the wall. There is also a symbol next to our name. Mine looks like some sort of cult sign.

The little perk suits we chose were our classes. It's like an RPG game, but more brutal. And it's for money, not the greater good.

I want to go home, but the majority won't agree to it.

I'm gonna end this.

First, I gotta know how this works.

Going outside, there is a whole set - an artificial wasteland. Trees as far as the eye can see.And I assume, the last person standing, wins.

There HAS to be things outside I can use, ANYTHING. I have to prepare for someone to target me.

So I run.

I keep stomping through the trees and am forced to come to a stop.

Because a guard is staring me down.

He has a triangle mask, but he doesn't have a gun. He has an ice axe.

This is a situation where it's fair ground!

Am I supposed to kill guards in this game?

I don't have any time to choose - he's charging right at me.

Neither do I have a choice to attack or not!

No more wasting time. It's time I play Sovereign!
