The few days Lilith spent with Kiara were amazing, at least in their opinion. Even the animals around the hut were hiding and shaking at their mere presence when they went outside this night. Lilith, after her nightly terrors, was grumpy and Kiara, after making cake and then stuffing it in her mouth, finally managed to lift her spirits. Many people would call this a victory more important than a battlefield. Lilith, whose brows were still furrowed, opened the door hurriedly and took Kiara by the arm. Both of them wore dresses, Kiara wore a gorgeous lilac dress meanwhile Lilith— Lilith was herself. She decided not to hide herself as much because Kiara was with her and she cared much more for her safety than people finding out about her. And, being intimidating reduced the probability of someone picking on them. She was the villain of this world, she was past the point of caring about her reputation- but she did care about Kiara. Even if Kiara backstabbed Lilith, she would most likely let her do it.
Prancing like a feline cat, Lilith had her smirk painted on her face as she forced her powers down, making her crimson eyes azure once more. Kiara glanced at her expectantly, to which she replied,"Couldn't have other people finding out, could we?"
To her surprise, Kiara was not at all disgusted or frightened by her. She only smiled and whispered she guessed Lilith wasn't normal, how could she be when she emits such a powerful aura?
And so, linked at the elbows, they practically skipped together through the forest until the entrance of the town- where Kiara wanted to purchase new weapons and Lilith... Lilith wanted to see the city once more before going on the boat. To feel the city. To move with it as one and watch breathe. Not as a villainess but as someone normal. Someone not correlated to fate or the story or the god of this world. She just wanted to feel what she only felt in the city, in the waves, or in the stars. Places she could hide in— escape to.
She weaved throught the crowds once more— men in their forties with too much, or too little money on them, peasants dressed as nobles to fake reputation, nobles dressed as peasants to disguise from curious eyes: there was everything, which meant Lilith would fit in just fine. She passed by five warm light lanterns and reached her hand out to clear her way of vines as she slid through a narrow passage. A passage that cracked and was due to fall centuries ago.
The stars above her sang to her, similar to her blood, but she drowned the voices out and focused on the cacophony of sounds around her. Suddenly, she heard a noise from behind her. A railing on the roof to her right was falling, bent in the middle by weathering, so Lilith surveyed it and without sparing another thought, she jumped; one leg was on the railing, the other on the opposite wall. Like this she stayed between the two walls of the alleyway— above people's eye-level— when a couple walked past. His hands were grabbing sensitive areas while whispering sweet nothings.
Her lips were on his in a soft embrace, and his strong cologne and her even-stronger perfume combined and collided in a way that should not be told. Lilith grabbed her mouth to avoid gasping and willed herself to stay as still as possible, to just let them pass. But they weren't passing.
They stayed right under her. The tall,handsome-ish man started undressing the maiden, his hand on her breasts moving in painfully slow circles while the other was under her skirt, probably doing the same in her wetness.
Lilith's ears turned bright red and she looked away quickly and focused on staying still or thinking of a way to move somewhere else without them noticing.
The moans coming from them when kisses turned into fast paced humping against the wall were lewd. She thought of the man she saw in the pub, the only one who caught her stealing his watch. Maybe she could see him again... he was so much more handsome than any other man she has ever seen, his eyes so unique, just like hers at night. But wait, why was she thinking of him?
The realization hit her hard, making her jittery and thankfully snapped her out of her thoughts. The couple was gone. Probably moved to a place more suitable for the activities than a filthy back alley of the shadow market square.
Lilith slid down the wall rapidly and jumped down near the end. Her hair was messy, and her sleeves rumpled. Is this what hiding in an uncomfortable position does to you?
She bent forwards and swung her head back to fix her hair. "Did you like it at least?" A familiar voice said to her. She jumped out of her soul inside, but somehow appeared not to be fazed by the new person's arrival.
"I'm sorry, what?"she refuted, pretending not to know.
"Well, judging by your clothes and the sounds you both made, I'm guessing you had some fun..."
My mouth opened. Surely he didn't think-
"Of course, I could do better than he did. Where you thinking of me at least?" he answered instead.
Now she thought her whole face must be red. Lilith knew who he was, she knew even before he said a word. But she wasn't about to admit she thought of him every day since their encounter. Her pride wouldn't let her.
"I was not taking part in it. Before you offer anything it'd be best if you could identify my moans in the first place." She couldn't believe what she was saying.
He just smirked that lip sided smile he always had, and suddenly slammed her against the wall, one hand above her head, leaning against the wall. He towered over her."Oh, I knew that, I just really wanted to see you flustered, thief."
"Rich coming from you, Axion." His eyes didn't show any surprise from his name, they just danced as he looked me up and down.
