A week later-
Her hair waved, dancing around along with the callous wind. She liked it though. When she closed her eyes she could still sense the slight rocking of the ship beneath her feet, the aroma of dew on pipes on the sides of little seaside restaurants and the green bushes trapped in the middle of pave stone. The boat made her tired, it soothed her and glazed over her thoughts. The crew was made up of ten people, the shipmates, the brunnete and red head, and her. She was visibly annoyed about the fact there were no girls and had to deal with fresh misogyny and somewhat shape this small society, which was tiring. By the end of this "escapade" her crew will be trained and she will be hopefully a little more rested... or not.
On impulse, she stepped on top of the mast, ignoring the repeating screams of the crew:"Miss, what are you doing? You will fall!" From the ginger Cassius and an obnoxious"get down from there right now!!" from Ditran.
As if I'd let myself fall... I'm too much of a coward to let myself die, not when that was the exact thing everyone wanted me to do, first I was much too stubborn, and then vengeful. Now I'm just... here.
No.
No, I want to live. I want to beat this cruel system of a world . I let myself die so many times, so now I will show whoever is pulling the strings of this world just who they have to deal with now. I know everything there is to know about the plot and the strongest characters; I know how to hide from them or how to seduce them. Except from the the ones I already met... which... prove me no harm, I will avoid every single dangerous character. Even the main character... and especially... the villain. Some girls in the "isekai stories" of my first life needed the help and protection of a male character. To be honest, in previous lives, I did try to get it. Failed. And now realized they are too pathetic to be able to protect me.
I am the "male character" now.
If I have to depend on a man again, I would much rather die.It has become a habit of mine to stand on the ledge of the ship. I would call it a bad habit, but in retrospect it doesn't seem all that bad.
"Jeong, please get down. My crew- Our crew is going to faint from worry," Cassius pleaded, hand stretched out.
I sighed,"Fine, although a fall as little as this one shouldn't kill me... probably"His sigh was audible.
Actually, the fall was enormous. The golden details of the mast and windows and the cedar surrounding it made me feel like in a dark-academia movie. I could almost hear Tchaikovsky. A tune sounded from my lips.
The crew gasped.
"MISS- DO NOT SING THAT TUNE ON THE SE-" one of the cooks nearly bellowed.
"Miss, how- do you know that tune?" Ditran cut in.
"Hmm?"
Was I supposed to not know it? I never heard of Tchaikovsky here in this world."It's supposed to summon storms. It is a legend, but that is only because no one tried it yet." he explained, the mood on board turning grave.
" You're right,we need to get to safety." A person named Greg said, signaling to the person at the wheel to change course.
Startled, I blurted out:"Uh-do you know who Tchaikovsky is?"
"What? You mean the sorcerer? Yes of course. Everyone knows him."
"Ah, yes"
I meant the composer.
"Never mind that Miss. your head is really in the clouds nowadays. Please step down form the ledge."
"Oh,yes. As you say."
I had breeches of leather, with a waistcoat of rich velvet. Satin and leather sashes were tied around my waist, a thousand times more comfortably than the corsets- more known as the pretty instruments of torture.
