"I wanna wrap you up, wanna kiss your lips, I, I wanna make you feel wanted. And I wanna call you mine, wanna hold your hand forever, and never let you forget it. Yeah, I, I wanna make you feel wanted."

Hunter's POV

Jana's lips moved against mine perfectly in sync. The kiss was soon turning from gentle and sweet into rough and passionate. The slow song ended, but we continued kissing. The gym was once again filled with loud pop music.

I detached my lips from Jana's for several seconds to say, "Let's get out of here." She nodded, breathing heavily.

We grabbed our things and rushed through the crowded lobby and into the brisk fall air. We searched for a place without people but weren't successful. "I think I know somewhere for us to go," I said, eager to feel her lips on mine again. She was drawing circles all over my back with her fingers, driving me insane.

I lead Jana to the back of the main high school building where picnic tables were located. This was on the opposite side of campus, away from the gym.

Jana immediately went and stood with her back against the brick wall. She grabbed my waist and pulled my body against hers. She reattached our lips.

As I kissed her, she felt my stomach under my shirt. I had never kissed a girl like this before. I had only ever kissed one other girl in my life and that was in middle school. That kiss was nothing like this one though.

Jana's hands found my hair. She destroyed my new hairstyle I had attempted to create, but I didn't mind.

After several long minutes, we stopped. We laid in the grass outside the building and looked up at the stars. We were side by side, hand in hand. Jana rolled onto her stomach, propping herself up on my chest. "What does this make us now?" she asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean, like, are we friends or...something more?" she asked nervously.

"You tell me," I responded, kissing her. She smiled down at me. I opened my jacket and wrapped it around her, pulling her closer to me. My arms were around her and her head was on my chest.

After a while of me quietly singing to her, she spoke again. She rubbed the inside of my left wrist. "Hunter, how did these get here?" Jana asked hesitantly. My scars. I really didn't want to talk about them. "Did you do them to yourself?"

I nodded.

"Why?" she asked, a single tear rolling down her face.

"Don't worry about it, baby. It's no big deal. I just feel like I need to do it sometimes," I responded, quickly wiping away her tears.

"Hunter, it IS a big deal. Can you not see how amazing you are?" Jana asked. I shook my head. "Well you are. You're amazing and adorable and funny and sweet and so incredibly talented. I wish you could see yourself the way I see you. So please don't do that to yourself. Promise me you'll try to stop?"

"Promise," I responded, a lump in my throat. I was controlling my own tears that were begging to emerge. I pressed my lips to her forehead as she gently rubbed my wrist. It was another perfect moment.

"HEY NERD!" called out a familiar voice. Their footsteps were growing louder and louder as the person slowly approached Jana and me. It was Ben.
