"You're late!" I hug Jennie as I open the door and see her with a suitcase.
"You know how much Kai is messed up." I roll my eyes "And he wanted to keep kissing me" she makes an expression of boredom and disgust "It was hard to get rid of him."
"Why didn't you want to kiss him?" I watch her carefully as I pull her suitcase inside and leave in the middle of the room, throwing myself on the sofa "Sit down."
"Where's Chaeyoung?" She arches her eyebrow and looks more irritated than before.
"Hey, calm down, why are you calling her that? You rarely call her that." She sits beside me and I turn on the TV. "But she left, went shopping, I think."
"I haven't seen her since the day of my appointment and I would like to know what Chu talked to her." She sighs.
"Wait, what? Chu? What are you talking about?"
"Didn't she tell you that Jisoo called her for coffee, even though she was awake for over 40 hours that day?" she raises her voice "I always knew that Jisoo liked Chaeyoung more than us, even on the first day at the hospital, the gentle look Jisoo gave her." she grits her teeth.
"Why are you caring so much about it? Jisoo abandoned us and you're still waiting for her! She's a selfish bitch who doesn't care about anyone but her and Soojoo."
"She stopped going out with Soojoo to go out with Chaeyoung." I look at her in surprise.
"Hey, hello unnie!" Chaeng walks through the door with some bags. Radiant and smiling as always. "Are you better?"
"Why were you going out with the one who shouldn't be named?" I stand up and clench my fists tightly.
"Lisa, don't be mad at me."
"What did she say, Chaeyoung?" Jennie stares at her seriously and Chaeng's eyes widen.
"I'll save the groceries." she says and disappears to the kitchen.
"Don't cry, Lisa-yah" I feel Jennie wipe my face and just now I realize I'm crying. "I know you miss her."
"Why does she seem to care about everyone but me? I liked her so much, she was like a sister, always taking care of me and we had so much fun together, Jen" I hug her tightly "And then she left and now acts like we've never been friends or spent quality time together. I miss Jisoo, but I hate her so much for leaving us."
"Lisa, she had her reasons, as much as we didn't understand at the time, I understand her now." Chaeng goes back to the room.
"She told you half a dozen lies and you've forgiven her?" I end up giving a laugh without any humor.
"I never hated her for leaving." Chaeng says, making Jennie and I look at her confused "I was hurt that she left without saying goodbye, but I know if she tried, we wouldn't have let her go."
"Why is she gone? Why did she never get in touch or at least reassure us that she was alive?" increase the tone of voice.
"Liz, I understand you, I really understand, but this secret is not mine so I can't tell you." she sighs "But I know she's still going to clear things up with you. Just try not to be so hard on her when that happens."
"She really converted you." Jennie says. You can feel the vibration of anger coming out of her.
"You're just acting like this because you wanted to be in my shoes." Chaeng sits in the armchair and changes the TV channel.
"Chaeng!" I try to scold her and she laughs.
"Am I lying? Are you going to tell me that you weren't the one who wanted to hear the explanation first and then decide to kiss her?" She stares at Jennie with an amused smile on her face.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Jennie crosses her arms and turns to the TV "Besides, I would never do anything like that, I'm with Kai."
"Please Jen, you liked him because he occupied part of the space that was Jisoo, now that she's in your life again, you can't stand being around him." Chaeng rolls her eyes and I'm really scared Jennie will kill her now "You can't help looking at her when they're in the same room, like there's only her there. It has always been like this, it will always be."
"And if it is? What changes, Rosie? Absolutely nothing. She never felt anything for me, I was just her groupmate at the time, we weren't even friends because she didn't think about me at all when she left without looking back."
"Have you ever stopped to think that this could be a second chance for you to resolve things? You really shouldn't judge her until you know her motives, because if there's one thing I can say it's that she could have been anything but selfish when she left." Chae gets up and leaves the room.
