ophelia greengrass' heart broke. she did not believe it was feasible. she didn't believe that a mere sentence could bring her entire world crashing down.
she had everything she had ever desired. she was a pureblood, which provided her safety in the midst of the war. she was the best in her year. she had friends that genuinely cared about her. she was engaged to the love of her life, who happened to be a pureblood as well.
but that was short-lived. it was ripped away the moment he ran. she had a feeling he was going to do it, he could never bear the things that purebloods had to do. nonetheless, she was still in despair.
his mother, walburga, had burned his name from the family tree. how could she possibly marry him now? their parents only agreed to their marriage because (a) sirius black was a pureblood and (b) walburga and orion thought she would be a positive influence on their rebellious son.
however, it turned out to be the inverse. sirius ended up influencing her in ways she never imagined. but that was beside the point; he had abandoned her. without a farewell, without explanation or directions to his destination. but ophelia is willing to bet her life that he is currently at potter manor.
there was a question left unanswered, however. who the bloody hell was she going to marry now?

─── .ೃ࿐ hi everyone :> i know this is really random, considering the fact that i finished this book like two months ago, but i wanted to make this book more... aesthetic? and then i remembered how there were a lot of bad grammar and wrong spellings and plots that didn't make sense and wanted to edit this ─── .ೃ࿐ seeing as there really isn't much canon knowledge of the marauders era, i will be making most of the stuff in this book up. the editing process for this book will be as slow as i wrote this, which is very slow. i am currently rewriting a freddy carter fic and am starting a baek yijin (from 2521) fic so we'll see how this goes <3 ─── .ೃ࿐ for tws: there is one chapter with smut in it, there will be a warning in that one episode and if you do not find this comfortable for you, you may skip that part since there isn't anything super important in it. there will canon violence, seeing as there is a war going on and mentions of death.
