theseus greengrass held unto his wife, who was clutching their 3-years old son—victor, after lila's brother—as they apparated.

the house looked completely abandoned. he had been shown what the house looked like before it's previous owner bought it for his wife as a wedding gift, and merlin, this was definitely not the house he saw. yet he knew.

he knew that this house belonged to them. because despite the cobwebs and dirty exterior, it still had this aura. the aura that only their love could bring.

"you're late," a woman said. she was no younger than seventeen, yet she looked ancient. she looked like she has gone through more than any 50-year old person. theseus didn't contest to the idea. her once silky blonde hair had bushes and knots in them but it didn't matter. "i asked you to arrive five minutes ago."

"i'm sorry," tiny victor said, causing the woman's glare to drift from theseus to the little boy. he shut his mouth instantly.

theseus guessed this was the time to speak. "i slept in."

"how irresponsible," she muttered, shaking her head before further opening the door and allowing them to enter. she just stood there as victor, lila and then theseus entered.

the interior was different from the exterior, theseus had to admit. he expected there to be even more cobwebs and thick layers of dust. but what he saw was normal. there was dust here and there, but every house had some dust.

then they all heard it. the sound of a wailing child.

lila glanced at the woman, about to ask if she could check on the baby, but then she paused to stare. she knew it was rude, she was raised to be prim and proper, but she couldn't help it. she was there to watch this young witch grow up, yet she never imagined this was what would happen to her.

it had been about four months since she gave birth to the wailing baby they heard now. and it was five months ago that she asked the couple to take her in. her. she had a baby girl.

the young witch lila babysat from time to time had a baby girl.

"may i?" lila said eventually. the woman glanced at her and nodded.

lila smiled as she grabbed victor's hand and the two followed the sound of a baby crying.

the woman watched the mother and son duo walk up the stairs before sitting down on the couch. theseus did the same, sitting on the opposite side of her.

he had the same thought everyone else who has visited her (which wasn't a lot of people) had. what happened to you? but they knew. they knew how much she has lost. which was why he didn't understand why she was giving up her baby.

"she reminds me too much of him," the woman spoke. she was always talented at knowing what another was thinking, no legilimency needed. "she has his hair, his eyes and even the way she looks at me... she looks at me like i'm her whole damn world."

"regulus always stared at you like you were his world," theseus said before he could think.

ophelia black's jaw tensed. "do not say his name," she said harshly as she stood up and walked towards the kitchen. she grabbed two mugs and placed some ready-made tea.

theseus noted how the door to the library was open and no books were inside. he found this odd because regulus and ophelia were the biggest book nerds he has ever met. and that says a lot.

"do tell her she is not your child. do not tell her who her real parents are. do send her to durmstrang alongside victor. do not, by any means, let her even think about hogwarts. do not let her step foot into scotland," ophelia said. "she cannot... she cannot be here. not when voldemort can come back anytime."

she was one of the only people that used his name. theseus thought it was because she didn't care anymore, that she had nothing for him to use against her. how wrong he was.

"you think he's still alive?"

"you think mere harry james potter killed one of the most powerful wizards of our time?" she scoffed as she took a sip of her tea.

a reply hung in the air as lila walked down the stairs, victor behind her, holding the baby they came to get. she looked so small, so vulnerable, and ophelia wasn't wrong when she said she looked liked regulus.

"what's her name?" lila said, gently, as she gently pinched the baby's cheeks.

"hope."

theseus took a sip of his coffee as he watched ikaris greengrass-wood and victor play in the backyard of his home. then his eyes furrowed as his headcount missed one child. he immediately eye scanned the grassy area.

a sigh of relief escaped his mouth as he saw hope on top of one of the trees, reading.

"what is she reading?" a voice sat beside him on the porch-swing. his brother, achilles greengrass-wood, had his own cup of coffee as he spotted his son.

"little women," theseus' twin brother, perseus, said as he sat down beside him. a cup of tea instead of coffe since he's on a diet, apparently. "she went through the attic and found lia's thousand copies."

"how does she have his face and yet her mind?" jason said, sitting down on the floor, watching the kids as well.

"i miss her," theseus found himself saying. "we know she's alive, we know she lives in the house regulus bought for them, but we can't see nor visit her. she's so close yet far away."

achilles, the eldest and the 'mother hen,' sighed as he rubbed his brother's back. perseus rested his head against his shoulder and jason rested his head on his thigh. "i miss her, too."

"will she ever come back to us?"

no one answered, but they all were thinking the same thing as all of their eyes were on their niece (who was smiling and starting to develop a crush on amy march). one could only hope.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷D SPEAKS!

was me mentioning the word 'hope' every chapter in the third part clue enough as to what name she was going to have? + im sorry that ophelia gave up hope like that but you have to understand that she never wanted to become a mother, she only did because that what she had to do but without regulus, she knew she would have been an awful mother to hope.

also im really sory for the delay, i wanted all special chapters done already so <3
