Getting over one's first love was always a task people people deemed hard. Ophelia Greengrass, however, finds it to be even harder as she has to get over her first love whilst being engaged to his little brother.

everything was red. the balloons hanging from every corner, every decoration and even the food was red. hogwarts goes all out for the holiday dedicated to st. valentines.
"ugh, this is disgusting," caroline said as she wrapped her cardigan around herself. she glared at the decorations around her and her roommates, she even popped a balloon on their way to the great hall, startling a couple making out. "is this merlin's way of shoving it down my throat?"
she didn't need to elaborate what 'it' was. a few weeks ago, she and her long-term girlfriend, cherry osborn, had broken up. whilst the rest of the school wondered why the two of them broke up, caroline came back to their dorm really drunk and told them the entrire story.
ophelia placed her right arm on the fellow blonde girl's shoulder and leaned her head against her's, "do you want me to gift you some chocolate? make out with you in front of the entire school to make her jealous?"
caroline laughs as she leans her head against ophelia's, it was hard because they were walking but the crouch girl needed this. "i would love that, but i'm pretty sure reg would be jealous. not osborn."
"why would i be jealous?" a voice came behind them and the group of girls turned around to face regulus and evan. "care, mind letting me say hello to my girlfriend?"
caroline rolled her eyes before wrapping her arms around ophelia and stuck out her tongue. "no, can do, reg," she fake-pouted at the boy. "she's mine for today."
"oh, come on, care! this is our first valentines day together," regulus whined like a child.
the crouch girl took a second to think. "i have her from breakfast until lunch and then you can have her for the rest of the day."
"deal."
"hey!" ophelia said as she removed herself from caroline's embrace. the rest of their roommates had left with their significant others at this point; steve and mary were already inside the great hall and so were venus and evan. "i'm right here, you know?"
the two of them pretended to ignore her as caroline linked her arm with ophelia's and skipped towards the great hall.

"so, what are our plans for today, mr black?" ophelia said as she arrived in the astronomy tower and landed beside regulus. he turned to face her and smiled, kissing her instantly. ophelia didn't protest as she placed both her arms on his shoulder.
when the broke apart, they just continued to stand there whilst their foreheads leaned against each other. ophelia broke the silence by speaking again, "you better have a lot planned because caroline did all the things she planned for her and osborn, let me tell you, my standards have risen because of it."
