Getting over one's first love was always a task people people deemed hard. Ophelia Greengrass, however, finds it to be even harder as she has to get over her first love whilst being engaged to his little brother.

when it was said that ophelia was an only child, it wasn't exactly true. yes, she was the only child created by both her parents, and she didn't have any siblings outside of her parent's marriage, but she simply adored her cousins.
apollo greengrass had a sister — a twin — her delirious, aunt artemis. she had adopted four young boys from an orphanage that homed wizards and alike. despite not sharing any blood, those four boys were her brothers.
in a way, they reminded her of the marauders. only difference was, they enjoyed the dark arts and went to durmstrang. but ophelia dismisses this negative quality because of the simple explanation that she loves them.
and when she found out she was engaged to regulus black, her mind did not go to sirus, not even regulus for that matter. but to the four boys she considered brothers. she knew they would force her to let them meet this suitor of hers, like they did with sirius.
she went through great lengths to make sure that her 'brothers' would like sirius, and they liked him tremendously. granted, sirius had to change certain aspects about himself, in the end the four boys gave their approval.
so she didn't know how they would react if they found out about regulus. regulus who does not have a single quality to resonate with them when he does meet her brothers.
that is why ophelia prolonged the process, not even telling her brothers about her little fiance swap and regulus was unaware of the four boys existence. but that plan was about to come crumbling down.
"if there is anything i hate more than sleep, it is being sick," ophelia said as she blew her nose at the tissue paper evan just handed her. not really handed considering the fact that he threw the tissue at her since no one in the house wanted to even be within a feet from the greengrass girl.
evan stared at her. "you hate sleep!?" he turned towards his best friend, eyes asking if he knew about this. regulus shrugged at his best friend who continued to act like this was a crime against humanity, "are you sure you want to marry that beast?!"
regulus rolls his eyes as he hits evan with one of the pillows from the couch. "yes, you idiot."
"really? why!?" evan said, growing more and more dramatic by the second.
ophelia rolled her eyes. "i love you too, evan."
venus, who was finding more tissue paper, let out a snort. "really? why!?"
regulus and ophelia laughed as evan let out a scoff as he ran around the house, trying to catch his girlfriend and punish her — regulus and ophelia hoped it would be a in a less sexual way. the former rolled his eyes at the couple but his heart swelled when he turned to look at ophelia and found her doing the same thing.
he decided 'fuck it, we don't really know if this is viral or not' and sat next to ophelia. she looked startled at first but smiled when their eyes met. "do you need anything?"
