It's been confirmed. Keigo is missing. Your anxiety has peaked at its worst, as well as your depression, leaving you stuck in bed once again. You haven't even left ever since this all started. Ever since Dabi left.
The only thing that's changed is how you're crying much more than you have in a long time, clutching your pillow and shoving your face into it, getting it all damp with your tears. "No, no, no, no, no."
You murmur between sobs, shaking your head. You can't believe Keigo's gone. He's actually gone. Missing. Leaving you for real this time. Leaving you like everyone else does. Just when you thought you could stop it. Just when you thought you had no one else to lose in your life. This happened, and it broke your heart.
What makes you feel worse is that it's all your fault. It's always your fault. You always make them leave. Everyone in your life either leaves or gets hurt. Starting with your alcoholic father who abandoned you, and now Keigo, who could be dead for all you know.
He was your best friend. You two used to be so close and he loved you. He cared for you and made you feel like you mattered. Sure, he made mistakes, but so did you, and right when you thought you could have that friendship back, it's taken away from you, forever.

Natsuo can't stand it. You've been crying for the past couple of days. Every night when he comes back to his dorm, when he's up late studying, he hears your broken cries, and it kills him. He knows you're a closed-off person, that you prefer to keep to yourself, so he hesitates on helping you.
He knows if he tries to say something, you'd probably tell him to get lost. But it's been so long and you've been so sad, he has to do something. So, tonight, he does, leaving his room and walking over to your door.
He knocks on it, making the cries stop, and after a few moments, he hears the soft pads of footsteps heading over to the door, followed by your voice, soft and hoarse from crying so much. "What do you want?"
"I just wanted to check up on you. I know you're probably going through something, and I know it's none of my business, but I just want to make sure you're okay. And if there's anything I can do, just let me know."
Those words make you stop and think. You're hurting badly right now, very badly. And you know it hurts even more because you're alone. It is just Natsuo, and minus the fact he's the oldest son of the richest man in Japan, he seems harmless. Besides all that intimidating rich family stuff, he just seems like a nice guy. Maybe you should give him a chance.
Natsuo takes a deep breath, turning to leave, but just as he does, you unlock the door, opening it. "Hey, wait- Thanks for that. I know I look like a mess right now, but do you mind if we go and talk somewhere? I could use some fresh air, anyways."
"Not at all." He smiles at you, and the next thing you know, you're sitting on the back steps of the dormitory with him.
You didn't have much time to get anything on, throwing on a simple oversized sweatshirt over your tank top and shorts, slipping on some slides as well. Cool air blows softly against you, as you look up at the night sky. You can barely make out any stars, just the dark blue color of the sky, but you still think it's pretty.
"So..." Natsuo starts, not exactly sure what to say. "What's up?"
You let out a long sigh, trying to figure out how to word things before you begin. "Have you heard those two guys...Kaimo and Keigo?"
"Oh yeah, one of them was killed and the other was kidnapped, right? Everyone's been talking about it, word's spread all over campus." Natsuo replies, making you even more nervous.
"Well, I'm Kaimo's ex, and Keigo was- is...a very close friend of mine." You explain, making Natsuo go quiet. "I've already talked to the police, they said they're doing what they can. But- it just hurts, a lot."
Feeling like you've said too much, your voice dies in your throat, and you mess with your fingers, avoiding eye contact with Natsuo, staring at your feet instead. But then, you feel a big warm hand press down on your shoulder, comforting you.
You look over at Natsuo, rubbing your eyes and brushing away the tears that were welling up. There's a sympathetic gleam in his eyes, a concerned look on his face. "(Y/n), I'm so sorry. If there's anything I can do-"
"You've done enough. Thank you." You pat his hand, causing him to move it off your shoulder and leave you cold.
There's a long silence between you, and you can't help but wonder what's going to happen next. Is he going to stay? Is he going to leave? Is he going to say something?
Natsuo gets to his feet, with a small grunt. So, this is it for tonight huh? It was a nice conversation, and you do feel better after talking to him, so you're okay with it. You're okay with being alone. You both have your own lives after all, and you're sure he's very busy.
"C'mon, let's go."
Wait, what?
"Uhm where?" You ask with a small chuckle, clueless about what's happening. A mischievous grin crosses his face, one that you have mixed feelings about. "You'll see."
--
The next thing you know, you're walking off-campus, far far away from your dorm, and into the city. You can't help but grow slightly antsy. "This isn't exactly what I had in mind, Natsuo. Don't you think you could've picked somewhere closer? It's past curfew, what if Campus security catches us?"
"We're almost there, and we'll be fine. You worry too much. Plus, being a Todoroki has its perks." He winks at you, making you cock an eyebrow.
You finally reached your destination which is a convenience store at the end of the block. You've been here a few times, just to grab a quick meal if you didn't have time to make one or to get some snacks. You turn back to Natsuo, unsure of what to do next.
"Get whatever you want. It's all on me." He tells you, watching your expression to see how excited you get. He's satisfied with your reaction.
You walk through the store aisles with him, grinning to yourself. Food always makes things better, especially when it's free. Normally, you would tell him that you could just pay for it and it would be fine, but it's nice getting treated every once in a while.
As you grab snacks, you joke around and make small talk with Natsuo. He's easy to talk to and very comforting. You even find yourself relaxing a bit.
After a good twenty minutes, you finish your haul of snacks, checking them out and letting Natsuo pay, telling him that only this one time he can treat you. But he says he's persistent, and he'll find another way.
You manage to make it back to your dorm safely without getting caught, and just before you turn in, you say goodbye to Natsuo. "Thanks for this, Natsuo. You really helped me. Goodnight."
"Of course, anytime. If you need anything, just let me know. I'll be right next door. Night."
