Today, the bus smelled like piss.
The downcast clouds hovered over the bus stop
As if warning me of the impending attack. And like I usually do,
I ignored the signs.
The ache in my bones, the weariness under my eyes, the ever prevalent drag in my feet-All to catch up to me because I stopped,
My breath taken away,
Because the bus smelled like piss this morning.
