Rainy Spring

47 1 1

If pearls stream from my sky,
Would you hold an umbrella,
For me,
So I could stay dry?

If I feel like a frostbitten flower,
Would you lend me your warmth
And protect me from these shivering showers?

If one day I'm bright and shining,
But the next dark and whining,
Would you promise to show me
The hidden silver lining?

Would you let me be a part
Of your ever-changing weather?
Show that breathtaking rainbows only form
When sun and rain come together?

And if one day I see your light clouded,
Would you trust in me
To put back faith in what you doubted?

If pearls stream from my sky
Would with me, you stream your own?
Calm these darkened clouds

And show that we are not alone.
