My eyes reflect my misery
Of the darkness deep within
The demons are growing older
They're tearing up my skinThe smile I wear is fading
My innocence is long gone
And though you can see the edges
My halo is barely onButterflies fill my stomach
I must've swallowed them whole
They make talking difficult
No one is listening thoughThe room I sit in is huge
But free space is so small
Because I've got white elephants
Packed against every wallThe air is filled with lies
Every one I've ever told
Breathing is laborious
Asthma meds a no-goThis is the world I live in
Desperate and dark
I'm stuck replaying the past
I wanna just fall apart
