When I came here... I had spears and arrows hurled at me. I was fast enough to dodge them but they were so weak I just didn't fight back. After they "subdued" me they tried to stab me. Their "knives" just broke. They didn't have a single way of actually inflicting damage. They tried hitting me but they just found that hurt them more then me.
I was in the middle of nowhere. One of them finally came yelled something really loud. They all started to run back to the camp. A large bipedal reptile erupted from the forest! As it rampaged towards the settlement I rushed in front of it. I quickly reformed it's skull into mush with a single strike.
After that they thought I was amazing. Giving me food and water which I just declined. They were pretty cool after that. I say they because these... Creatures weren't human.
Some what resembling a kangaroo in the upper torso but with cyclops eyes. At the hips they turned into bulky legs with flat feet. They were strange at best. I decided to stay with them.
I learned very little about their language because they made sounds I couldn't. Talking just went different for them. They eventually got to the point of building walls. I supplied them with food and water. I gathered supplies for them in large quantities and then I'd just watch.
That was the formula for 500 years. Any threat, dealt with. Supplies stockpiled. Forgot when they started worshipping me. I don't know why I stayed. It was my own pet collection I guess. I got to see them expand the settlement bit by bit. Eventually it was rather large. Evolution slows when you have no outside stimulus. Eventually the area around them became a baron land. I'd gathered most of the resources. For miles and any other animals that came near the walls I just killed with no hesitation.
Then the big things started happening. Earthquakes that lasted days. I couldn't stop those. I couldn't take it back.
Then the air started to thin. The resources ran dry after a couple of days and water was barely drinkable. Their numbers thinned. They didn't understand why I wasnt gathering resources anymore. They didn't understand that there wasn't anything they would or could eat left. After this long I knew what they could eat and Id gathered it all.
There's only so many giant alligator monsters in the world. I genocided a whole race of quillfish looking creatures in 6 DAYS because I found out it would keep them full for 70 years. Preserving them wasn't even hard because they just never rotted. Left one out in the sun for a month and one of them finally ate it.
I knew what was coming. I knew that all this would be over at any moment.
I knew it was my fault.
I hit the Earth's crust as hard as I could because I had to destroy something. Blind killing is something I don't shy from afterall. I'll still never guess why I helped these animals. I see them as lower beings right?
The truth is that I'm not special. I'm not one of the gods of the multiverse no. I'm just a genocidal Maniac who has killed more people and creatures then I could count.
I put a hole through the Earth's crust and destabilized orbit and the core. This planet is doomed. It's only taken so long to do so is because time flies differently here. Physics works on a delay of some kind. I've gotten good at counting so I know how many days it's been.
I just sat on a rock... And waited. They eventually started dying. They begged me to give them something. They were hopeless. After a week the streets were baron. The houses were still and when a little creature came into my line of sight it was a sad sight.
The creature slowly wabbled up to me. It was a child. It eye was swollen and it was skinny. It's fur was patchy and it's breath was ragged. It made a weak noise... The one is come to recognize as the one they made to call for help. It just.... Stood there.
I heard a crunch in my head.
"WHAT?!! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" My mind was in a flurry of thought and emotions. Ones I'd pushed back for centuries.
"I'VE ALREADY GATHERED ALL THE FOOD! THERE PROBABLY ISNT ANY WATER LEFT BECAUSE OF THE HEAT! WHAT COULD I POSSIBLY DO TO HELP YOU?!"
The small creature just stood there and stared at me. It didn't make a sound. It's small arms hung limp at its side. It wobbled and blinked before opening it's mouth. I screamed before it could make a sound.
"YOU'RE ONLY RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT IS DEATH! I CANT DO ANYTHING TO STOP THIS! BECAUSE I CAUSED IT! I KILLED YOU BEFORE YOU WERE EVER BORN! YOU THINK YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO LIVE BUT YOU DON'T! YOU'RE NOTHING! NOTHING!!" I stopped yelling as I felt the tears start.
"The only thing you have is the right to fight for your life. By any means necessary.... Oh god..." For the first time in so very long tears streamed down my face. I collapsed to my knees and wrapped my arms around the creature. I cried over it's tiny shoulder. It's tiny arms wrapped around my elbows. As it returned the hug. Shortly after the creature went limp.
I sat and cried as the lava shot out of the crust... The Earth's core was critical. This was my fault. And as I felt the heat wash over me. I felt penance.
A penance I shall pay.
