protecting Sophia part 11

I woke up to the starry skies and the sounds of fires flickering in the distance. I slowly sat up feeling my mind reeling from what I'd just experienced. I looked around thinking about putting my foot up Jackson's ass but... Looks like he's dead...

When I noticed queen laying there in a pool of blood I yelled her name and scrambled over to her. I checked her pulse immediately!

"Oh thank FUCK!" I said leaning back on my heels.

I started to heal her with inf powers and stiffled the adrenaline I had coursing through my veins.

She lives

Yeah you're right. Her organ damage is pretty much healed.

"Can you save her?" A small voice behind me said.

I jumped back and saw it was just Sophia. Wiping a small bead of blood from a cut on her cheek. I saw her concern and I chuckled slightly.

He looked back down to see she was healed completely but she still wasn't coming to. Then her eyes slowly opened and she started to laugh. The reaper fell on his back and flopped his hands down on the concrete and let out a huge breath.

"Never again queen... You hear me? Can this be the last time I bring you back from the brink of death? Please? I'm gonna have a heart attack eventually and inf is going to take the advantage and let you croak." He said lighting a cigarette.

"What six times isn't enough?" She said smiling as she sat up.

"It's actually eight. Two times from alcohol poisoning, six times in the heat of Battle." He said taking a large yellow drag.

"He's saved you eight times?" Sophia said puzzled.

Queen got to her feet and smiled wide.

"Yeah because moster regeneration over here can take damage and just keep on going." She said putting her hand on Sophia shoulder.

"He's also a total jackass!" A voice yelled from up the road.

They all looked over to see who said that. As he got closer the reapers eyes widened!

"Get outta here!" He said disappearing I to a cloud of smoke.

"Tj the old man." Queen said smiling.

Sophia watched in amazement as the reaper delivered a swift jumping kick to the man's side but he was blocked! The man twisted his knee which sent the reaper into a massive spin. As the man delivered a punch, the reaper teleported behind him! He had a gun drawn aimed at the back of his head.

"Too slow old man..." He said with a smile. The man turned around.

"You gonna use it this time?" He said holding his hands out.

The reaper smiled wider before making the gun vanish.

"How could I old man?!" He said reaching his hand out.

They clapped hands and brought eachother in for a shoulder hug. Sophia was confused because now the fight had turned into friendship. She thought she was about to witness an execution, not a bromance.

"Who's that?" Sophia asked queen.

"That's TJ. He's reaps brother. They were the same age when he got here but TJ got sucked into a time vortex and aged up 40 years when he came back out." She said starting to walk over.

By the time they got over there the conversation had turned sour. The reaper knew a mess was coming the second tj asked the first question.

"Have you been to webbed woods recently?"

Webbed woods was the woods Sophia and the reaper cut through before meeting up with queen.

"What do you mean she's alive?! I hit her with the white wall!" The reaper shouted.

"I don't care if you hit her with the cock of God himself! That multieyed furfucker is still taking breath. Now you wanna be a man about this or act like you just fell out of the sky?" TJ said as Sophia and queen joined the two of them.

"What's going on? Who's still alive?" Queen asked holding her hands up.

The reaper looked at her with blue smoke coming out of his cigarette. His eyes were filled with a strange energy, Half "fuck it" and half "Fuck me". He sighed and materialized both pistols.

"The Furmillion Queen is alive." He said those word and queen took a moment to put the pieces together. When it clicked her face switched to horror.

"SHE'S FUCKING WHAT?!" Queen shouted throwing her hands up.

The ground slowly started to shake. The sound of crashing, screaming, and animal like roars filled the air as the four heros formed a barricade in front of Sophia. The three of them listened, queen materializing a spear. TJ pulling out a whip and and a small handgun.

Finally they saw them. Wolf spider hybrids, crawling over buildings, Turning over cars, breaking out of windows, and screaming all the while.

"Jesus Christ J you really kicked a hornets nest didn't you?" TJ said spitting his tobacco.

"I've never seen an infestation This bad before..." Queen said popping her shield.

"Not those things again..." Sophia said hiding behind the reaper.

The reaper took a drag of his cigarette, then exhaled black smoke. He turned to the others and said.

"Nope." He said grabbing both tj and queen.

He teleported them both and immediately jumped back. He grabbed Sophia and teleported to the others out of danger. He looked at the group and gave a final salute...

"Tj, thanks for always being my brother. I needed a guy like you to keep me going. Queen, lay off the booze, and get a taste in alcohol." He said before looking to Sophia.

"Kid... They'll get you home... I promise you that." He said smiling at her.

For a moment she truly took it in. He was smiling at her... The man shed known was dark and scary but he was comforting in the way she knew he would protect her... But now... He looked caring. He looked caring and kind, like a father telling their child who got last place to not give up. He looked... Gentle.

As fast as her mind processed these facts... He was gone.

Back to the city... To face his mistake.
