Protecting Sophia part 8

We appeared on the street and it was already a shit show!

People were being killed by debris, people were crashing cars, and people were running around like it was the apocalypse. I grabbed Sophia and put her on my shoulders. Didn't want her to get trampled.

Me and queen locked arms just to keep from being separated. We moved to an alley that didn't have much traffic. We stood behind a dumpster as a wave of dust and debris rushed past us. Sophia was shaking. I could feel her fear. Poor girl.

"There's only one member of the operation that can do this! It has to be the destroyer role! His name is diamond Jackson. I don't know what abilities he has... But he was there that day!" She shouted over the noise.

I lit a cigarette and looked at her. It seemed like the surrounding area had no noise as I examined her face. She was absolutely dead fucking serious! As I pulled a drag I pondered that little bit.

There that day?

It's what she said. So far we've taken out two but we've yet to run into one who could beat Gunner. I tried! I asked you to hit him with nuclear fission and he just punched me in the face!

Maybe mental...

Yeah Gunner was mental.

I exhaled a black smoke. I felt a fire inside me. A fire powered by rage...
As the chaos around us calmed I truly reserved in those rules Id always imposed.

1. Stay your wrath from the flesh of the innocent.
2. Make the guilty pay with the wrath of a god
3. Protect those precious to me.
4. Avenge my friends!

Suddenly there was a crash that shook the ground! We walked out and I quickly put Sophia down when I saw this "diamond Jackson".

He was a very large African American man with an afro. He was dressed like a modern day rap star. Flat bill hat with a Lakers logo. He had a white shirt with a jersey on. It was the number one and lacked any kind of logos from teams. He also sported black jeans and a pair of red and black jays.

"There you bitches are! I was wondering if I'd killed you already!" He said as he made what I can only assume was a gang sign. It wasn't one I recognized but I'm not exactly on his... Wavelength.

"Other from Queen there... Only paper people here bro..." I said with an awkward expression.

"Hey! I'm not black! I'm fucking Dominican! You of all people should-" I cut queen off.

"Remove the hot sauce sister! You know what I meant. I don't have the fucking time to meet every expectation you make for me when it comes to race. I've meet things that were never human to begin with." I said with sas.

"Miss me with that shit." She said.

"IMMA FUCKING KILL YOU!!!" Jackson said as he shot a beam that hit me in the face!

I landed on the ground and quickly rolled through and looked up at him... But he wasn't there! Actually... I wasn't in the city... I was in... No! Not this!

"Reaps! Sophia, make sure he's okay!" Queen said as she summoned her weapons!

A spear and shield popped up out of a mechanical apparatus on her arm. The spear came from a necklace she wore. It allowed a duplicate spear to appear in her hand at will!

She rushed forward And was thrown back by a invisible force! She blocked it and slid back. She hurled a spear that rocketed towards Jackson! He side stepped but wasn't able to avoid it completely!

He fell to his knees and screamed! At the same time the fucking rails fell of reality! Queen had a vision of her past that echoed in her ears as she was hit by something she couldn't see!

"Queen!" Sophia cried as queen flew back! She rolled to her feet and wiped the blood from her mouth.

She hurled another spear! She actually dashed forward and kept pace with the spear as she attacked from a better angle to the side! Jackson looked up and queen was thrown back with an obvious shot to the sternum!

"Damn! I can't even get close to him. What's he doing to keep me at a distance?" She thought as she crashed into a wall! She managed to land on one foot and she dashed out of the way as the wall was obliterated!

"So your have an invisible partner I see!" She shouted as she hurled another spear!

"Pretty neat huh?" He quipped as he dodged it!

Queen smirked. In that split second an explosion from the spear rocked Jackson from behind! He barely had time to see queens eyes before the spear was thrust at his face! He also barely saw the first that knocked it from its intended trajectory! He saw the figure deliver a massive blow to queen's midsection! What he didn't see was the blood fly from Queens mouth!

Sophia didn't know what to do. She just sat by the reaper who was out cold.

"Wake up! Please please wake up! Help her!" She said to the unconscious reaper.

She didn't know that what the reaper was enduring in his head. She didn't know that that ability bwas about to be taken away from diamond Jackson. No man had ever taken this long to break mentality. He didn't know that the reaper was long past breaking...

Queen threw two spears as she stopped sliding! The two spears stopped in mid air! She let out a yell as she made the two spears explode! Jackson's Spectral entity thought quickly and discarded a spear which saved it's hand, The other hand was destroyed down to the wrist!

Jackson screamed as his hand turned to mush and globbed off his body with a wet thunk! He also had a red spot on his white tee shirt on his side opposite his hand.

"Ya fucking whore! I'll kill ya slowly! Then I'll take that kid and deliver that kid to the boss." Jackson said as he cried.

"You don't understand me. You don't understand what I went through to get here! I've had this day in mind since I was a boy! Do you even know my name?!" He screamed getting to his feet.

"Diamond Jackson!" She yelled as she hurled another spear!

"DIAMOND ISNT MY FIRST NAME YA FUCKIN SOW!!" He screamed as the spear changed trajectory!

A rush of air hit queen a split second before she received a shot to the face that sent her flying! She rolled in a heap until she stopped. Her world was spinning. She wasn't prepared for that at all and it did major damage! She had a concussion and large wounds all over her body!

She picked herself up from the ground and summoned her sword and shield! She gritted her teeth as blood ran through them. One eye swollen shut, busted lip, gash at her hairline down to the bone, gash on her shield arm spanning her entire forearm on the back, her other arm was actually relatively unscathed, her left leg was heavily damaged but her right leg was broken at the femur in two places.

She shouldn't be able to even stand.

"I AM THE LAST AMAZON!" She shouted as she grippiing her spear tightly!

"I don't care who you are! I WILL DEFEND MY KINGDOM!" She shouted!

She rushed forward, With everything she had...
