Two Days Later...

Sydney had been quiet for the past two days, she rarely came out of her room, rarely talked to anyone and rarely even looked at Griffin. When Griffin would go to see her she would be covered b y her blanket and look like she was sleeping but Griffin knew she wasn't. But tonight something was off, Griffin went upstairs and he expected to see Sydney laying in bed but he didn't. She wasn't there, and then he realized that he hadn't seen her all day. He originally thought she was just staying in her room like always but no... she wasn't there, when he opened the door to see no one he checked the bathroom and her office and that is when he started to panic. "SYDNEY!" He yelled running down the stairs , he checked every floor, every room and she wasn't there. He started to panic more when he couldn't find her and he was standing in the living room when he heard the back door open, he spun around and saw Sydney coming in with a blanket on her. "Oh my god" He sighed walking over to her, almost running "You scared me" He said hugging her, but he didn't get an answer, all he got was a sniffle and her nuzzling her head into his neck. Griffin hugged her for a while until he pulled away and she looked down at he floor and sniffled again.

"Hey, chin up" Griffin said lifting her chin "It's gonna be okay" He said. Sydney's face was all red due to crying for hours and her eyes and nose were all red. Griffin hated seeing Sydney so upset but he knew it was normal, that she was gonna be like this for a while. "Why were you outside?" Griffin asked and all he got was a shrug, "Sydney, that's not an answer" He said and she scoffed looking away "Sydney.. Hey! Don't shut me out" He said stepped in front of her "Talk to me" He said softly placing his hands on her cheeks "I-If I do, I- I'm just gonna cry again" Sydney replied "No, you won't. You can't shut in, okay? I k ow your hurting but talking about it is the best thing for you right now" Griffin stated "You do realize how cliche that sounds right?" Sydney said looking down "Yes I do, but it's true. I need you to talk to me... cause I'm here to listen and to help you" He reassured "I know, and I love you for that" Sydney said. After she finished her sentence Griffin kissed her softly and made sure she knew she was safe with him "I love you too" Griffin said breaking the kiss. Sydney chuckled and she slightly blushed while she hugged him and hid her face in the crook of his neck.

That night Griffin made sure that he was careful with Sydney because she was sensitive right now, he had to be gentle and be careful with his works because if he says something wrong she might get upset again. "You feel any better?" Griffin asked "Yeah, a little" Sydney said as he rested her head on his shoulder and sighed "Griffin?" Sydney said "Hmm?" Hr hummed in response "What do I do now?" Sydney asked "What do you mean?" He responded "I mean, I have no parents, no way to contact anyone and I can't even go somewhere if I tried cause I have no idea where I live really" Sydney said in a louder tone "Hey, don't stress. You'll be okay.. I mean we could- Never mind: He cut himself off "What were you gonna say?" Sydney asked sitting g up "Nothing- It's nothing" Griffin stated "Tell me" She pleaded "Fine, I was just gonna say-" He paused "Say?" She persisted "We could always try to contact your mom" He offered "My mom? Really?" Sher chuckled in a sarcastic tone "And how would we do that?" She asked "Maybe someone at your dad's work has her number or something... I don't know" Griffin said "Griffin..." Sydney sighed "I-I can't bare the thought of meeting my mom after 4 years of ,e just up and leaving. Even if I did, I can't handle that" She explained "Hey,hey. It was just an idea" He reassured softly. Griffin helped Sydney relax and she lied back down on his shoulder "If you don't know where to go from here right now.. that's okay. When I lost my mom I was lost for a long time but I managed to get back up and fight for myself and get a good job and that is how I am here with you.. okay?" He explained "Yeah" She sighed "Okay, just relax for now. Close your eyes and I'l be right here when  you wake up" He said softly as she dozed off. Everything with Wyatt happened so fast that Griffin understood the thought of meeting Sydney's mom scared her, and she may be lost right now but it's normal. She just lost her dad and she won't be okay... for a while
