"NO!" Sydney yelled, waking up. She woke up to a empty dark room, she was confused a scared because she didn't recognize where she was. She was on the floor, no bed beside her, no windows. No nothing, "GRIFFIN!" Sydney yelled, she was too afraid to move as she never knew what she was walking to or into, she kept yelling but got no reply. She built up the courage and walked, she didn't know where she was walking to but she ended up at a door, and she took a deep breath and opened it. Sydney gasped seeing what was on the other side "No, no! Hey, hey, baby! Hey!" She said crying, she opened the door to see Griffin laying on the floor bleeding. "Baby, hey, hey. Look at me, look at me. GRIFFIN!" She yelled crying hysterically "How- How did this happen?" She asked herself "No, no, no, no, no, no" Sydney said repeatedly "Griffin, no" She said crying even harder hugging him. Sydney pulled away and who she saw wasn't Griffin.. It was her father, her father dead in her hands. "What the hell?" She whispered to herself "Dad?" She asked "DAD!" She said shaking him. Sydney started crying really hard again but she felt like something was off. "Sydney?" She heard a voice and that's when she woke up "Sydney, hey" Griffin shook her and saw she was waking up "Hey, baby, hey. What's wrong? Why are you crying?" He asked. Sydney didn't say anything, she just rolled over and put her head on his chest, he hugged her and she began to cry. "Shh, shh, baby. It's okay, it was just a dream" Griffin reassured "But it's not" Sydney said between sobs "What?" He asked pulling away. Sydney stayed quiet for a second before explaining her nightmare, Griffin was hurt by what she said and he hugged her again. "It's okay, I'm here but it's okay. I know it hurts" Griffin comforted. Griffin held Sydney tight and calmed her down by letting her know she is safe, it took a while but Sydney slowly started calming down.

The Next Morning

"Mmh?" Sydney whined waking up "G-Griffin?" She yawned seeing him not beside her "Babe!" She said kinda loud. When she got to response she went downstairs and found Griffin cooking breakfast, she back hugged him and put her head on his back "Good morning" He said "Mm, morning" She said still half asleep. Griffin turned around and hugged her and her put her head on his shoulder "How did you sleep, after last night?" He asked "Fine, I kinda passed out so" She replied. Sydney walked over to the counter and jumped up so she could grab something, "You know, you could've just asked me" Griffin stated "You're cooking, and I can get it myself" Sydney said grabbing something "Gotcha" She grunted getting back down, Griffin saw that she grabbed a box of cookies from the cupboard and assorted them on their plates "Cookies this early? Really?" Griffin questioned "What?" Sydney whined "Whatever, breakfast is done" Griffin said placing it on their plates, "Looks good" She said grabbing her plate and kissing his cheek "Thank you" She said softly "My pleasure" Griffin chuckled. Griffin sat down with Sydney on the couch and they turned on the news, when they did there was a story about Sydney's dad on the screen so she froze. "Nope, not today" Griffin said rushing to turn the TV off. Sydney stayed quiet and just put her plate down and walked back to the kitchen. Griffin watched her and saw her place her hand on the counter and lean down to put her head down, he walked over to her and back hugged her to comfort her "It's okay" Griffin said softly "I know, but I'm just not used to it" Sydney stated "Sydney, you lost your dad 4 days ago, you shouldn't just be able to move on. Cause if you did, that's no normal. Grieving is normal" Griffin explained "I know, I just can't handle it as good as I thought I would" Sydney said "And that's okay, some people experience grief terribly, others can manage and some, just ignore it all together. What your feeling is normal" Griffin comforted "Yeah, thanks babe" Sydney said "Don't thank me, it;s my hob to take care of you. Not just as your bodyguard, but as your boyfriend and your partner"
