I ran around town as he called me.
"WHERE IS MIKE WHERE THE FUCK IS ALEX" I said screaming.
"seems like you have a new favorite spot, it's nice. Who's Jack?" he said and he hung up.
I broke down in the middle of the road and Jack came up behind me.
"lauren he's not gonna hurt you ok we're gonna get Alex and turn him in ok?" Jack said sincerely.
it broke my heart that I got Jack involved in this. involved with me. he just didn't realize that when mike wanted something he got it. he always won. I knew he'd get out, I was just waiting.
I ran towards the tree house ignoring the pain from the baby.
there he was. there was mike. standing there with Alex in front of him, with a knife to his little innocent neck.
