The next day I woke up and drove to Ambers house where we all got ready. I pulled out all my stuff and started getting ready. When I was finished I walked out of the bathroom and all the girls looked at me.
"What is there something on my face?" I asked.
"No you just look stunning" Amanda said.
"Jack is gonna love you" Stephanie said
"Yes! Lauren you and Jack would be so cute" Amber said.
I blushed
"I don't even think he likes me" I said
"Lauren, do you even see the way he looks at you?" Kristen said.
I guess I hadn't really noticed. I tried not to look at Jack so I didn't make it obvious that I liked him.
"Hey Lauren what happened to your leg? If you don't mind me asking" Kristen asked curiously.
"I don't uhm, really wanna talk about it just yet" I said.
I wanted to tell them. I mean it wasn't there business but I still felt like I needed them to know. I trusted them. They were the only real friends besides Katie that I've ever had.
We all walked downstairs and started taking group pictures. None of them came out normal, at least one of us made a face in every picture. We heard a honk noise and started walking outside. Sammy, Johnson, Gilinsky and their friend Drake. They all looked amazing. I looked at Gilinsky and basically stopped breathing.
I really liked Jack. I didn't want to admit it. Because I didn't want to go through what happened again. I didn't want to be hurt again. But at that moment, nothing else mattered but him. I didn't care that I spent 8 months of my life in pure agony. I just wanted him.
*JACKS POV*
Me, Johnson, Sammy and Drake were on our way to pick up the girls for homecoming. I was nervous as hell and I hoped it wasn't obvious.
"Little nervous to see your girlfriend there Gilinsky?" I heard Sammy say.
"I'm not nervous and she's not my girlfriend" I said.
"Bro I know you, you're nervous" Sammy said.
I ignored him and looked out the window. We pulled up to Ambers house and got out. I stood there as I watched all the girls walk out of the house. They all looked amazing but Lauren. She literally took my breath away. She looked so delicate and beautiful and she was just flawless. I was snapped out of my thoughts as she spoke.
"Ready to go?" She said looking in my eyes.
"You look amazing Lauren." Was literally all I could get out of my mouth.
"Thanks, you don't look to bad yourself" she said blushing.
I loved when she blushed. It was so cute.
We pulled up to the school and I got out and opened the door for Lauren. We started walking and I decided to hold her hand as we walked in.
*LAURENS POV*
Me and Jack walked into the school with everyone behind us. I felt Jack brush my finger tips with his as he grabbed my hand. I heard the oo's and aa's from behind us. Jack made me happy. Like so genuinely happy.
We walked inside and started dancing. After a while me and Jack were just sitting at the table alone.
"Let's leave" he said.
I nodded as we both walked out of school. I took of my heels and started walking barefoot. Jack took off his jacket and wrapped it around me before picking me up.
He put me down as we walked up to his driveway. I turned to look at him and he smiled. We walked inside and up to his room, we climbed through the window up to his roof.
We sat there in silence. It wasn't awkward. It was peaceful. Jack broke the silence when he spoke.
"Lauren, can I tell you something?" He said.
