It'd been a very quick few months. Me and Jack had graduated and over the summer we decided to get an apartment together. I decided to wait for college. I had gotten my letter but I wasn't gonna open it. Either answer would've hurt to look at.
Over the summer me and Jack found out the baby was a girl and we decided on Caleigh for her name. Her due date was set for December 15th. Me and Jack were both hoping she'd be a little late and possibly be closer to Christmas. Everything was as perfect as it could get. I had Jack and he was really all I needed. The pains continued in my stomach and back, and they had gotten worse. My doctor continued to tell me it was okay, which every time I heard him say it I found it harder to believe.
Me Alex and Jack walked towards the ice cream shop. Alex had been begging me all week, he would want ice cream in the middle of December. We walked inside and ordered.
I sat down and watched Alex. He'd grown up so much. My thoughts were taken away when my phone rang. I picked it up and answered.
I listened to the person on the other end as she spoke.
