Chapter 16

Two weeks later I woke up and got ready for my audition. Something I've even waiting my whole life for.
My leg had healed really well and I was ready to do this. The second I stood up I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I ran to the bathroom and threw up.

I took medicine and finished getting ready. I wasn't gonna let anything get in my way today.

I walked outside and got into Jacks car.
I started to feel sick again so I just drank some water and tried to relax.
Jack could tell something was wrong and he grabbed my hand and held it tightly.
"Are you okay" he asked with concern in his voice.
"I'm fine i think it's just the nerves" I said.
We pulled up to where I would be auditioning and I looked at the building.
"I can't do it" I said getting even more nervous.
"Lauren yes you can. Now get out of the car and go in there and show them what you can do" he said as he reached over me and opened the door.
"I love you" I said getting out of the car
"I love you too, you'll do great don't worry. I'll be here when you're done" he smiled making me feel slightly better.

I was about to go on stage when the sharp pain went through my stomach and my back like it had this morning. I ran to the bathroom and threw up before I went on stage.

I danced my heart out and I just hope it was enough. It's all I wanted.

I walked back to Jacks car and took a deep breath.

"How was it?" He said.
"Can we talk about it later I really don't feel good" I said and he nodded driving to his house.
He pulled into the driveway and I ran inside and went straight to the bathroom and threw up.
"Lauren are you okay" he said holding my hair back
"I'm fine I probably just ate something bad" I said hoping that's all it was

The next week I had been moody and I thought it was just because the nerves of the audition from last week. I hadn't stopped throwing up and the pain in my stomach was just getting worse. I had a thought about what it could be but I didn't want to think about it.

I searched my trash can to find any kind of wrapper but I found nothing. I called Jack and told him to come over. Jack came over in 10 minutes and walked up to my room.
I was gonna tell him about my thoughts but I decided not to.
"Can you drive me to the store" I asked and he said yes as we walked downstairs to his car.

I went inside with Jack behind me.
"Can you go get that juice I like" I asked trying to get him away from me.
"What juice" he asked confused.
"Just get juice I don't know" I said getting moody.

I walked to the isle and grabbed it. I quickly paid for it and waited in Jacks car. He walked out of the store and got in the car.
"Lauren what's going on" he said looking at me
"I just... I don't know yet jack" I said looking at my shoes

We drove back to the house and I walked into the bathroom and nervously took the test.

I walked into Jacks room and he was sitting on the bed.

"Jack I think I'm pregnant"
