Chapter 22

Silverstone's POV

I've turned Oakleaf back into a cat again, and explained everything to him.

"Hmph. Well, this battle is your fault. You don't need my help. Go ask Goldheart." Oakleaf growls, and begins to stalk away.

"So that's it? You're not going to help me?" I ask

"No." he replied, with a flick of his tail.

"Oakleaf what's gotten into you? If this is how you are going to treat me, then we are no longer mates!" I yowl

"Yeah, and go be mates with Goldheart!" He says and dashes off.

Took care of that problem.

Suddenly I feel a hot breath on my shoulder.

"Hello, Silverstone." Hisses Duskflower.

She leaps onto me and I tumble over.

Come on Silverstone.. Stop being so weak!

I waited until Duskflower was a foxlength away from me, and then I slipped under her. Duskflower plummeted upwards,throwing her unsheathed claws into my belly.We both rocketed upwards and fell. Duskflower got up quickly and got on top of me so, as I hit the floor, she pinned me down, with a claw to my throat.

"It is your turn to die!" She hisses into my ear.

I stare deep into her eyes.

Come on super-weird power! Work..

I feel enraged at everything she's done.

But, as I feel my power pulsing through my veins, ready to turn her into stone, she claws at my eyes, not enough to cause damage, but to blind me for a few heartbeats.

"You think I didn't know about your little power? Or about your plan? Ha!" She hisses.

"Why should I kill you, if I can make you suffer?" She snarls at me.

All of a sudden I see a Dark Forest cat bringing a body towards me.

A dead body...
