Goldheart's POV
I can't believe it! Silverstone, the cat I love, chose Oakleaf over me!
What does that cat have that I don't?
Well, he doesn't keep secrets from her like I do.
He won't murder her father for love.
He's alive, and I'm from Starclan.
I only died because of Duskflower! If she hadn't abandoned me as a kit, I wouldn't have starved.
Duskflower sent Frostshine to me, and she lied to me! Duskflower fell in love with another cat, and I have a half brother, Bronzetail.
I stop thinking about Silverstone for a moment. Bronzetail, he's the cat who tried to warn me! But I didn't listen! He's my brother, but I didn't care.
All of this is my fault.
I close my eyes, and when I open them, I'm in the Dark Forest.
I look around for Bronzetail.
"Bronzetail! Where are you?" I meow
"Goldheart? Is that you? Listen, I'm sorry-" He begins
"I know. I know you're sorry. But you shouldn't be. I should. This is all my fault."
"No, it isn't your fault Goldheart! It's not your fault you died. It's not your fault Duskflower abandoned you. It's not your fault Frostshine betrayed you. None of this was."
"Yes it is! Silverstone is now mates with someone else, and it's because of me."
I cry
"What? Silverstone has a mate?" He asked, looking shocked.
"Yes, she does. I just found out. She doesn't want to see me again because she found out that we plotted to kill Jaywing, and I agreed to it. Bronzetail, I agreed to kill her father!!" I wail
"But you did it to save her. She just needs to understand. Give her time." Replies Bronzetail as he rests his tail on my shoulder.
"Thanks, Bronzetail." I meow
Suddenly I hear pawsteps coming up behind me.
"Did you do it?" Hisses Duskflower, her cold, dark voice sending a shiver down my spine.
I turn around and face her. "No, I didn't do it! And I won't do it. You will not lay a claw on Silverstone!" I yell
"Is that so? Try to stop me. Because I will kill her.
I'll kill Jaywing, Bronzetail, and then I'll kill you. Then you'll be gone from that retched Starclan.
Forever."
