Chapter 23

Goldheart's POV

"No!" Screeches a cat

Silverstone!

I hurry and rush to her side.

"What happen- oh my Starclan.."

Jaywing, her father, was dead.

"Jaywing no! Please.. Wake up!" Pleads Silverstone at her dead father's body.

"Duskflower how could you?! Why are you torturing her? This is between me and you. Leave Silverstone out of this." I yell at Duskflower

"What better punishment is there than watching her suffer?" She purrs back

"Duskflower, stop! This is our fight."

"Actually, Goldheart, it's mine." Spat Silverstone.

Duskflower leapt at Silverstone, the impact knocking her to her side.

"Silverstone!" I say as I was about to help her.

Goldheart, this is her fight. Let her do it by herself. She wishes to avenge me, so let her do it.

Who is this..? I think

This is Jaywing. Now listen to me Goldheart, she'll be fine. This is her fight.

I watch Silverstone bunch her legs up, and when Duskflower lunged for her belly, Duskflower was met by a slashing of many claws. Duskflower leapt back. She tried to get on the other side of Silverstone, but Silverstone flipped and slashed at Duskflower every time. Silverstone rears on Duskflower and knocks her off balance. While she tries to regain her balance, Silverstone goes on her belly, and hits Duskflower's back leg, causing her to fall, then, pins her to the ground.

Silverstone looks into Duskflower's eyes.

"This is for everything you've done; to Goldheart, to me, to Jaywing! You deserve to erode in nothing but a pile of stone." She hisses.

I can hear the anger and enragement in her voice. But I can tell she's also scared.

You can do it, Silverstone.

Slowly, Duskflower's tail turns to stone.. Then her lower body, and up towards her mouth.

"Kill me. Your adopted pathetic kits will die too."

"What do you mean?"

Too late. Duskflower fully turns to stone, and Silverstone pushes her off the cliff.

I watch Duskflower's stone-covered body shatter into pieces, and fade away in the darkness.

"Silverstone! Goldheart!" Pants Bronzetail as he hurries over to us.

"What happened?" I ask

"The.. The kits! They're missing!"
