Chapter 3

Silverstone's POV

I sigh as I think to myself.
How did Goldheart just vanish?

I remember when Flamestorm- Flamepaw then, vanished with Darkheart to the Dark Forest.

Did... Did Goldheart vanish there too?

No.

I shake the thought away. Goldheart wasn't evil.

"Silverstone! There you are! I was worried!" says Flamestorm as he rushes over to me.

"Flamestorm I'm fine!"

He's constantly worrying about me!

"Okay good. I saw you talking to Goldheart and another cat. I thought maybe you got hurt. After all, you don't really know them."

My fur bristles up with anger.

"Flamestorm, I trust Goldheart, and his friend Frostshine!" I hiss at him

"Flamestorm's right. You've only just met us."

"Goldheart?" I say out loud.

"No, it's Frostshine!"

"Oh.. Hello Frostshine"

I try not to look disappointed.

"So.. Where is Goldheart?" Flamestorm asks, narrowing his eyes.

"Oh he is-"

"Right here!"

"Goldheart! Hey!" I go over to him.

"Silverstone! Not too close!" Yells Flamestorm.

"Flamestorm, relax! It's not like he's a murder!" I say, giving a small mrroww of laughter

I glance at Goldheart. He shuffles his paws, looking uneasy.

"Don't come any closer!" He yells

"What? Why?"

"Silverstone! Stay back! I'm warning you it's dangerous over here!"

"Goldheart, you're being ridiculous"

I go closer, then I hear a screech.

I realize it's me! I'm falling!

"HELP!" I scream

"Silverstone! I'm coming!" Goldheart leaps after me.

Rocks then tumble on top of me.

Then, the world goes black.
