Bronzetail's POV

I head back to the Dark Forest, the place where I was born.

My mother, Duskflower, sits nearby grooming herself.

"Hello, Duskflower." I mew

"Hello, Bronzetail. I'm assuming that you did what I asked, and met your half brother, Goldheart?" She replies

"Yes, I did. Goldheart seems like a nice cat."

"Nice? He is nothing but a pathetic kit who doesn't know how to listen." She retorts angrily.

"W-what do you mean? I thought that you said that you loved Goldheart." I say

"I never-
I mean yes, I did. I meant to say that. Yes, I l-love Goldheart. Like I love you, Bronzetail. Now, you're going to listen to your mother, and help me bring Goldheart to the Dark Forest. " she says

"But... Why? The Dark Forest is an awful place. Why was I born here?"

"The Dark Forest is better than those mouse-brain Starclan cats!" She hisses

"Once we bring Goldheart here, we can finally be happy together!" She says.

"You're going to listen to your mother.. Aren't you?"

Slowly, I nod.

But I know Duskflower is hiding something.
