"I can't be a soul snatcher! I love everything and everyone. If I took life from anything I could never live with myself," I cry to my best friend.

Virgil hugs me gently, "I know...But I won't let you end up dead like the others who rejected their life goals. So stay with me. We can live together and be happy."

"Really?"

"Of course. Plus I need someone to spend time with. I get lonely even if I hate to admit it," Virgil smiled at me.

I smiled back, "Thank you so much."

I shake the thoughts away, I have to stop spacing out. I look at Roman who is trying to figure out a way to bring Remy back or get my powers back. I can't even bring myself to look at Remy.

I get up and look around the room, Roman watching me. I search the crates and shelves before I find fabric. It looks like covers but I think they are meant for clothing and they haven't been designed into clothes yet. I grab all of them and look at Roman.

"We don't need his...Exposed skin to get bugs or infected," I say, trying to hold back my tears. I'm getting dehydrated.

Roman nods a bit, "Right. Smart. I'll roll him up..." he grabs the fabric from me and goes over to Remy.

I can't watch so I stare at the wall. I wish I could do anything to help but I'm weak and powerless. I close my eyes and try blocking out the noises of Roman rolling up his body.

"I don't want these powers," I complain to Virgil.

"I know Patton but there's nothing that we can do. There is nothing in the world that can get rid of powers," Virgil says sounding sympathetic.

"So what? I just...I'm stuck like this?"

"Yes...But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing," Virgil said softly, grabbing my hand gently.

I sigh and tear up, "I want to help people. Not kill them."

"Patton," Roman asks softly.

"Yes," I look at him.

"Uh...I finished and I think we should start talking about the worse case scenario."

I nod, "Yeah..."

Roman sighs, "If you truly have lost your powers then...That means Remy is dead and there is nothing we can do to bring him back."

"Correct..."

"So no way of undoing the device," he asks.

"I think it got destroyed in the explosion," I say softly.

"Your one hundred percent sure you can't use your powers?"

"I'm a thousand percent sure..."

"Okay...Can we find another soul snatcher?"

I look at Roman, "That's a good idea but...No soul snatcher is allowed to bring anyone back from the dead. Plus they all want loads of money. I doubt any of them will help us anyway..."

"We can try," Roman says softly as he cups my face. "We will take down Remus and we will be heroes. Everyone will try helping us."

I nod, "Yeah...But there is another problem..."

"What is it," Roman asks worried.

"If he doesn't get back in his body at least within twenty four hours or less...He won't be able to come back. His body is so damaged we probably have less time..."

Roman looks at me and then Remy, "I see...Then we will do everything that we can to hurry this up and save Remy."

I nod, starting to cry again. If I would have known losing my powers would've been a mistake and made me useless, I would have never wished for that.

Roman hugs me and I bury my face into his chest, muffling my cries. Emile is going to hate me. Remy hasn't got a chance.
