Strapping her into the ride, he sat beside her as the ride began. Carnival type music played as they made their way up the first hump. It charged down the other side, sweeping forward and sideways, up hill-like inclines and declines until it rested upon the ramp. She did not know it at the time, but she had snagged Errik's hand in the intensity of it all. When she looked up from the grasp, he retracted his hand before helping her from the ride.

"What's the next thing you want to go on?" He asked, an obvious sadness in his smile. Ignoring this sadness, she answered by pointing.

She picked the bumper cars. "Competitive too..." He said with a giggle. "I knew I liked you." He said as he placed her seat belt onto her and a slower music now played. He then got into his car and quickly drove away from her. She turned the wheel and charged at him before a flash of the night her brother died came into her head. The collision she caused with the two 'cars' made her relive that moment. Unaware what she had been doing, Errik was now beside her, as she was in a state of shock. He tore her from the car and carried her to the eating establishment called FREYA'S. Placing her on one of the higher elevated chairs, he went to the back and got some water before making his way back to her. She was still trembling as he placed his hand on her back and slowly rubbed it in circular motions.

"What's wrong?" He asked with desperation in his voice.

"I'm sorry." She said as she stood up from the chair. "You see me as this weak and fragile girl that can't do as much as ride a cart without becoming a psychopath...You do something so nice and I find a way to be selfish and freak out..."

        "Are you okay?"

        She nodded.

"That's all that matters...I think I should take you home..." He said with a kind smirk.

"I don't want you to think I'm not grateful....I am, so much." She said giving him a hug. "I'm so messed up..." She said as she held back tears. He pulled her from him and took her cheek against his right palm.

"You never have to be sorry, do you understand?"

        She nodded.

"I will never make you feel guilty or bad for anything. When you are ready to tell me-you will...until then, I am trying to get to know you the best I can. So far, I know you have very little fun-I mean a roller coaster...NEVER!" They both laughed. "I took your roller coaster virginity." He said, them laughing even harder now. "And I know you like adrenaline but don't handle it well...and you want comfort..." He said extending his hand-she grabbed it without hesitation. "I want us to be friends."

The word cut her in the heart, but she understood and nodded. "Me too."

"I want us to trust one another and always be honest."

"As do I." She said giving him another hug. But as she hugged him, he shut his eyes tight and held her close so he could feel her heartbeat against his. He did not want to admit it but he also did not want to scare her.

"I'm going to take you home..." He said as he led her from the establishment.

"Could you take me to Claire's instead? She's my friend. I just...I don't want to go home."

        He nodded. "Of course..."
