As he was in the shower, Scar felt so guilty. Her heart did not belong with Julian, although her body did. He was not her first, but she felt as if he was a pleasant distraction. But each time she had been with him, she craved Errik. His embrace, his kisses, and especially his method of how he touched her. It was so sweet yet enticing. As if he knew exactly what to do. For Julian often hurt her, not intentionally, but enough to leave marks.
She picked up her phone from her pants across the room and noticed how there were dozens of missed calls and messages. Most of them were from a number she did not know and in that case ignored it. Placing her phone on her lap as she tried to imagine where she could go so she wasn't Julian's personal sex slave, the phone buzzed again.
"Hello?"
A frantic voice was on the other end.
"This is a nurse at the local hospital. You are registered as an emergency contact to a Claire Frencherrah. She is in intensive care and really needs someone here. Can you come down?"
"Of course!" She said as she got dressed as she hung up the phone. Just as she exited the apartment, Julian followed her into the street with a towel around his waist. Waving his hands before him to show an upsetting attitude, she ignored him.
"Where the hell do you think you're going?"
"Claire's in trouble. She needs me."
"She stabs you in the back constantly...Come back inside with me so we can have fun. Come on sexy."
"You are unbelievable...Go find a sock or something instead. My God!" She said jetting off in his car. Not having a license, she bolted down the road until making it to the hospital. Going to the front desk, she was then taken to see Claire who was beat up from head to toe.
Casts covered her body as when she saw Scar, she reached out for her. The only thing not casted was her left arm which was of no use to her. Everything that was not casted was either bandaged or covered by something else. A nurse explained to Scar how she was found in the park like this almost near death. Losing that amount of blood with her extreme anemia-it was life threatening. Scar vowed not to leave until she could take Claire with her.
But as she sat there, she saw a face in the window. Jumping up, she ran outside and wrapped her hug around Errik. He grabbed her and held her for what felt like a lifetime.
"I am so sorry. I'm here for you..."
