Scarlett held tightly onto the seat belt as she watched every move Errik made. Even placing his turn signal on with his finger, her eyes did not leave him. He sensed her feeling of nervousness and quickly reassured her she had nothing to be scared of.
"What are you thinking about?" He asked, breaking her of her thinking itself.
"The future...what it holds. I would just kill to see six months into the future...Just to know...Never mind..."
"Just to know what?" He said as the car now slowed to make it's final turn.
"Just to know who I'd be with..."
"You shouldn't have any problem with that. A girl as beautiful as you...I mean..." He paused and took a deep breath. "We're here..." He said giving her a smile as they arrived to a run-down amusement park. She looked at him with big eyes as if she were a child again.
"What?" He asked seeing tears in her eyes.
"I haven't been to a place like this since...." She froze as the memories clicked back in her head. "It's been a while..."
"You don't have a fear of heights do you?" He asked as he opened his car door then went around to open hers.
She shook he head as she got out of the car. "No, I just...haven't really been on anything to know...."
"You've never been on a roller coaster?" He asked, his expression now surprised with a slight smile.
"Nope..." She said feeling guilty but embarrassed.
"Come...I want to take you on one..."
"Wait...how can we be here?"
"I used to work here...got in good with the boss..." He said with a big smirk. "He lets me come here. I used to come here when things at home were bad or I would feel lost." He admitted as they walked closer to the rides-pushing open the gate to the theme park. "I never want you to be scared when you're with me. Tell me if you are."
She turned to him and shook her head. "You're the last person I'm scared of..."
