Birthday update. <3

Bryson 17

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADE 11 TIME

IT'S MORE CONFUSING.

Or maybe not...or maybe yes. Candace is not sure to begin with. It's confusing before Bryson did it, and figuring it out herself, however, when Bryson technically helped her, it seems like it's not a help but another puzzle...another code to decipher so she can figure it out what she truly feels.

Ahh...

Tangina.

Paano ba?

Candace's still wearing her uniform as she lays on bed. Hindi natuloy ang samngyupsal na binalak ni Bryson, just because she became more silent. She felt like she literally became a robot that moment, with blank mind, letting Bryson drag her, until she just realized, they're on their house doorstep. Bryson also didn't say anything as he bid his goodbye.

And now, she's here alone. Finally able to recollect herself...asking herself, what the fuck just happened?

Malalim siyang napabuntong hininga bago tumagilid ng higa. She buried her face against her pillow, inhaling its sent. It was her mother's perfume that she used to sneak out every time she will change her beddings. May maliit siyang spray bottle at doon niya nilalagay ang perfume ng mommy niya, and she also has the same with her father's perfume. Minsan niya lang gamitin ang mga iyon dahil makapit naman ang amoy.

The reason why she uses her perfume secretly... she might be pitiful to look but it's her way of her coping up with her parent's absence. She's not asking for anything. She's not demanding for anything. The perfume is enough, but maybe, if she will be asked to trade all of her talents, and fortunes... kahit wala nang matira sa kaniya, she would trade everything she has, in exchange of seeing her parents whenever she wakes up...whenever she's about to go to bed.

And just to have her parents...when she's having a hard time.

She has friends. A very supportive one, but not all of her friends are as mature as what she's looking for. Her friends are just naïve as her. Macey's too pure, Bryson's and Arrow...all of them are just on the middle of the ladder, discovering how the way of life works to its peak.

She just wanted her parents around. She wanted them back.

She doesn't like fortune. She doesn't like these helpers that would provide her needs. She doesn't like this big house... expensive cars... huge bed, and sophisticated perfumes, and private school.

Her parents are all she wanted.

Good Mornings and Goodnights are mostly being taken for granted. Morning kisses, and night kisses, warm hugs... and simple gestures are often taken for granted to do because of embarrassment... but if she will be given a chance to do it every morning, she gladly will. She will do it every day. Every second.

She might not be able to say anything to her parents, but these tough times, their presence, their hugs... and touch. Their warmth is all she ever wanted.

That simple...

And yet, that simple thing is being taken away from her, and she doesn't know what price to pay just to have it in her hands. She doesn't know what prayers to make, how many falling stars she should see, how many years of complete Christmas simbang gabi she has to attend to so she could make a wish... or how many candles she has to blow every birthday just to have it.
